I am just awaiting the result of the 3rd loan ppi now (lloyds),hopefully they will uphold on that one as well, fingers crossed.:j:)
Hubby received his 2 cheque payments from LLoyd Credit Card, through the FOS, both in the bank now.
And am having some workings out done on the 2 loan ppi (lloyds) who have also upheld, in case anything is amiss.0 -

Im hoping someone could help, sorry if i post this wrong, i have only ever viewed this site, never posted. But the site is greatv
I sent a letter to tesco, got a reply to acknowledge on 24th march, today i hav a letter stating they are not upholding the complaint, but have offered as gesture of goodwill of £1,511.59, and they have confirmed if i accept this will come off account due to having a CCJ on this loan from a few years ago.
They dont say this is there final offer, but have said if im not happy i can go to the FOS, im pleased with the offer to the point if means that debt would be clear 18 months sooner, however would i have a case to refer to fos for the interest and have that paid to me? or should i write back to TESCO to ask for this...
I dont know if they have to reply once they issue an offer.all in all 3 weeks to get this offer i think is not bad going..
Any help appreciated0 -

Sent a letter to Alliance & Leicester on 21st March 2010. I had a reply today offering me the money back + interest. Over the moon. The templete letters really do work and if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have known any different. Fab site.2012 WINS

Hi and welcome
Did they also enclose you with an acceptance slip to sign or not?
And are you happy with the way they will refund the amount to the account?
And is there much difference in the amount of the offer to the proper amount?
Sorry for the questions lol.
If they have enclosed the FOS details with the leaflet and have said this was final then you move on to the FOS, but if not and your not happy you could give them say about 14 days and ask if they are prepared to reconsider your case, if you hear nothing by 14 days then move on to the FOS.
It is up to you of course, you could mention you note they have enclosed details of the FOS but they have not confirmed its the actual final decision.
Good luck with this, hopefully others will post up with some opinions and help on this for you too.;)
Hi thanks for replying
The amount is about right to be honest, however after double checking the letter there are several mistakes with it, it refers to an amount above being paid off a previous loan, but where they should have entered the value, they have just put £XXX, so i havnt been given anything to check the accurcy of the letter
Yes they did enclose an acceptance slip, i was going to reply and point out there error in the lettee and ask them to consider interested on the amounts they have offered, as they are clearly offering me the full valu e of the PPI paid before i defaulted on the loan. Do they have to reply if write back?
many thanks for you help0 -

Hi there, your welcome.;)
I would personally enclose a copy of their letter and not the original and highlight their mistakes in this.
I don't think they would be obligated to write back, but you can try if you want to.
You could write something like, whilst you are considering the offer you feel you should inform them of their errors, (and of course they would not want you to enclose a copy of this letter to the FOS - I don't think), so it maybe worth a try.
Then suggest the interest, mention if they consider paying interest etc to the amount they have offered on top of the PPI refund you will be satisfied and will accept, but will otherwise require 14 days to decide on the original offer or move on to the FOS.
So basically its a chance you take really, if they do not oblige then by 14 days, you can either just send the acceptance slip back signed if you decide you want to go along with this offer, or to the FOS.
Please bear in mind though the high volumes of complaints within the FOS, however, you can if in hardship request for fast tracking with the FOS, even though this can still take some time before being looked at, its a little quicker than the standard queue.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
hi, just a quick question, i just recived a letter from RBS telling me as a good will gesture they would refund me £767 in ppi refunds the letter says they will try to refund me within 28 days of reciving the signed acceptance form, i sent it off today.
How long do rbs take to refund you money will it be within 28 day ? or do they mess you around and try to take as long as possible ?
Thanks0
