    Your welcome Michelle.:A

Good luck with the Credit Card PPI, I'm sure that one will be okay too.

My hubby received his letter today but they forgot to add the £100 distress payment on top as the ombudsman awarded, so need to get that sorted out now lol, we will get there eventually.;)

  • Thanks to Martins money tips site i am in the process off reclaiming my ppi payments from AA insurance loans who are run by the bank of Scotland
The bank sent me a letter saying i would be getting a repayment off £1600 which included the compensation Martin said i was entitled to ,but when AA loans sent me the refund it was only £1087 so a few phone calls later to the bank my amount is being re calculated because i made a claim in 2007 ,which i forget about and when i mentioned this to the man on the phone he said they are still going to refund my ppi and will be writing to me in the next two weeks
I only sent the first letter from the template site and got a reply within a week or so .

Marvelous site Martin keep up the good work Thanks:T
  • What were you reclaiming: 2 Loans
    Who was the provider: Natwest
    How much did you get back: £140.36 & £1699.66 ( Totak £1840.02)
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:

    2 Loans taken out - 2004 for £1000
2005 for £6000 (inc prev loan)

My problem with Natwest was that they never made it clear I had PPi, had to ring and ask them if I had it before starting claim !!

Was called in for review when at cashier desk and sold a loan I did not ask for (second one)
PPi was not fully explained to me or would not of taken as although in ft employment at the time had always planned to go to uni as mature student in 2007 (which i did so have worked over 16 hours for last 3 years so parts of cover would not of been any good)

Natwest are awful to deal with...............

Did not comply with SAR request within 40 days

Have taken over 8 weeks and not notified me why they needed more time, only when I phoned this morning and went mad and asked to speak to a manager that they processed my claim and gave me figs and offer when I phoned back this afternoon.

They have not given me the 8% but will not be pursing it as about to graduate and cannot wait for money

Advice to anyone dealing with Natwest is to hang in there and phone Manchester office evey week and ask to speak to a Manager should you feel you are not getting anywhere.

  • when we took out our last mortgage in 1996 we were told that we had to have Abbey's PPI, I argues with this and was eventually told that if we did not have Abbey's PPI that we had to have one they aproved of they gave us a list.
we went with AVIVA's PPI because we were told we could use it to pay other bills if we needed too, we were insured for more than 150% of our mortgage repayments. it was in my husbands name since i was unemployed at the time, although the mortgage was in both our names
i had a stroke shortly after we payed off the mortgage and paperwork slipped. now i am getting on top of things i find we are still paying the PPI.
i have spoken to them and they say they can repay the payments since we payed off the mortgage, but i suspect that this insurance was miss sold to me.
can anyone give me advice, please be pactient with me i get easily confused since the stroke.

    Hi there

Sorry to hear about the stroke and hope everything is okay now.;)

I would post this one on a separate thread below and a subject line of "Mortgage PPI help", and hopefully Dunstonh and or MagpieCottage will have some answers on this one for you.
    Good luck with this..;)

The advice and sample letters really do work. I used the template form, i always knew they had mis sold it to me. If you ask me all these finance houses are all robbers and thieves. I hate them.

They think they can get away with murder.
