    Hello all

Can anyone tell me if they have a direct e-mail address for Halifax re PPI?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello there

I personally write any letters via hardcopy if you can, found some contact details on the link below but do not have the email contact, you could ring them direct and they should be able to confirm the correct dept for you, or hopefully someone will be along who have had dealings with them, good luck.:);)

I was trying to claim back my PPI from Sainsburys in regard to a loan I took out in 2002 for £16,000 which then had there Care plan....£5,032 added to total £21,032 with interest of £5,212 total to be paid back £26,244, I actually finished payments in 2008 and then found this site and put in claim as at the time I took out the agreement I was actually registered disabled (pins and plates in leg).
I have had a letter from Sainsburys 18-1-10 saying sorry and they will look into it, another one sent 11-2-10 saying sorry not had reply yet but they will get one to me no later than 13-3-10 , then had another 22nd sincere apologies and as I am such a valued customer (only thing I have had with them) they have decided to pay me an amount that will put me back in a position I would have been had I not taken out the PPI.

Today i I have just had a letter from Bank of Scotland (Sainsbury's Loan) to say I am being sent a cheque next week for £8,727.85 to redress the PPI.
    Refund of premiums £5,032.00
    Refund of interest £1,246.99
    Compensatory Interest £2,448.86

Just thought I would add mine to the list and thanks to all who responded to my earlier posts and to the site for highlighting it in the first place

A delighted Paul, Now just got to tackle Barclays

Wow! How fantastic for you! I am going to claim back PPi from sainsbury's too and I think I've paid them an awful lot over the years.
Thanks for posting your story. It certainly gives me hope!

    Best Wishes, MM

Reclaimed my PPI payment from the Halifax
How much did you get back: just over £700
I got it back by writing a letter

I just received in the post yesterday telling me that I was getting the money back. They refunded the premium, plus the interest of the loan which was 6.5% and the 8% standard interest thingy.

Well pleased, used the default letter on this website and received the response within 3 weeks, fabulous
