in need of help. wrote to my natwest branch regarding ppi, they sent me information of when i took them out and how much i have paid. i have had ppi on four different loans. faxed my complaint to branch on 8 march, heard nothing. sent a copy of letter direct to branch via record delivery on 26 march still heard nothing. rang the branch on five occasions, kept getting put through to support team, they said they had emailed branch and would get someone to call me............. im still waiting. i have rang a number in manchester, regarding ppi, they said they have nothing on there system. so gave me a fax number, which i have faxed it all to them. not sure what else to do????
    they owe me 25k........................

You need to send your complaints directly to the RBS PPI Concerns office in Manchester by recorded mail. If you look under the A to Z of bank addresses, you'll find it either under RBS or Natwest.

    Good luck!
  • Hello
Took out a loan some6 years ago on the phone with the AA group and was unawware of my wifes PPI on her credit card never gave it a second thought till i saw your website.
Read the info on policy and your site and sent my first letter - 2 weeks later recieved reply saying being looked at-3days later informed that was valid complaint. Now 3 weeks later informed it will be £4850 !
Stunned but now realise i topped up the loan by a 2nd from same source.

So now can i cancel ccp on 2nd loan or indeed claim again on 2nd one
The first one was classified as paid early in their letter so how do i stand ?
BIG THANKSand keep it up as we all need help sometime and it appears you are our saviour

    Regards Mike

hi there, well done on your win, i would ask for a breakdown of the figures as they may have included the settled loan. ask about this if it does not include it, you are entitled to ppi back for the top up loan as well good luck with this and let us know how you get on

    Hi there

My son who is 21 years old have recently been successful with these, it was actually GE Money where he sent the reclaim letter as he was mis sold a burtons card insurance under the age of 18 and was a full time student, he was successful by 2 weeks and even though the letter was sent to these, the response was from Santander, not sure if its the same group as the one you wrote to but the very best of luck to you anyway.;)

    Hi there
    And your very welcome.:A

Yes you have sent to the correct address and followed the right procedures, with my son it was a Burtons store card, he purchased a Prom suit and suddenly he came away with this card, although he was going to pay for the suit upfront, but he was obviously talked into having the insurance.
I was tamping, because I told him many times of the mis selling of these products, but there we go, we all live and learn lol.:D.

All his monthly statements were sent from GE Money, so he wrote to these and they do now I believe have the complaints dealt with by Santander, although I cannot be totally sure, but that is fine, as you will not have to write to Santanders, they are altogether as far as I know.;)

He paid for his suit then within months but with the insurance, so it only taken 2 weeks from the letter to him receiving his refund.
Hopefully it will all go straight forward for you too.

Sounds like you have some money to come back.
Remember the interest as well they should pay out on top of that again.

So was it around 2004 you were mis sold this product?

I would see what they come back with by the 8 weeks, hopefully they will resolve it for you, but if not send another letter until the final response, keep us posted of this and we will deal with this step by step.

    Fingers crossed for you.;):)X

  • Hi, thanks to your website and the financial ombudsman i have been awarded just over £5000 in missold PPIcharges - only problem the loan has not run its term yet so Barclays now want to rearange the outstanding balance - which is fine, but they have informed me that the money owing to me will be put into the new loan account to pay it back early. I have never missed a payment and do not wish to pay the loan back early.
Can someone please tell me if Barclays have the legal right to do this? surley i have the right to do with my money as i wish!

well done on winning your case against Barclays, and yes what they are doing is in line with the FOS guidelines, it is worth asking them to send a cheque directly to you though as some will and some won't take this route
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free
