OH has just got £3,500 back in ppi from RBS. The sting in the tail is that despite this being paid off his card RBS say he is still classed as in arrears.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Hello there
Well done on your OH success.
Sorry if I have mis read, but did they actually refund the PPI towards the Credit Card? Do you know how much he is in arrears before your OH was refunded the PPI?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi,
i recently got a letter from HSBC saying they would refund £1800 of PPI paid pending visit to branch to restructure the remaining loan. This was on 16 March. I have phoned once to say that I haven't heard from my branch and the lady said she would remind the branch to contact me, but still no contact. Has anyone got any idea how long this will take?
Thank you0 -

Hi and welcome
Normally from complaining to reclaim they have 8 weeks in full, if they agree to refund you, then to my knowledge you sign like an acceptance agreement with them (this may vary though from one bank to another), then call it about a month after signing, if you hear nothing then chase them up at regular intervals, everyday if you have to.
But going by yours its gone past that timescale, if you know the details of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank then write to them and explain your situation here, they may push this for you.
I am not sure on the CEO details of that bank, but I will try and find them for you, otherwise write to them anyway, address it to "The Chief Executive Officer" and to the usual address you use.
Good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)
Right just edited to post this as found some details for you, an email to the Managaging Director of HSBC, I would though give the bank one more chance, ask them for the latest timescale, if they mess about, then inform the above.

We got the letter from branch to go in and rearrange loan the day before we got the letter telling us the complaint was upheld. I would definitely push branch and claim dept. Ours was rearranged and funds in bank within 10 days and that was only because it was over a Bank hol.

Hi,
After sending the letter template to MBNA to reclaim PPI on a credit card they offered £3375 after an initial offer of £2900. I had been behind with payments and had set up a payment plan whch I have stuck to. They have said they will knock the £3375 off my balance, which will near wipe the debt out. Do I have to accept this? I dont want to seem greedy but it would go a long way to helping out my husband's business at the minute!
Thanks in advance for any advice given

Hi there
Wow well done and Congratulations.
I know its nice to clear the debt, but if they agreed it was mis sold and have upheld in your favour, then you could argue that this debt of PPI had added to the debt which made your postion worse, and you have been deprived of your money and out of pocket due to this.
You could give it a go on requesting they refund directly to you.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
