    Can I ask how long you waited on the bigger claim. I started mine in September and they say they can't say when it will be sorted because they are working on date claim received basis but do not know what month the claims team are working on now, yeah right :mad:

    Hi all ,i sent a letter 17th Dec to Halifax about the ppi on my current loan ,i told them going on previous advice i had ticked the box for silver cover (i did it online ) but on talking to there rep while comfirming the loan they advised gold ,i truly thought they would say you ticked it end of story ,but on 17th of Feb i got a letter saying it may not of been suitable for me and they would put me in position of never having ppi :j:j A couple of days later figures came through they knocked ppi off my loan and were going to give me back what i had paid in RESULT:j:j I expected it all been knocked off my loan ,and yesterday it was paid into my account .Im over the moon ,Thank You ALL for your advice and support its invaluable :A:A

  • I wrote to the Halifax about PPI they had missold me when I took out a loan 5 years ago - I only sent the letter a week ago. Had a phone call today confirming that they had upheld my complaint and that all the money I paid out will be refunded into my bank account. Can't tell you how much that helps me out at the moment - clears a credit card bill. Jumping for joy!:j
