I reclaimed PPI on a loan from Northern Rock.

How much did you get back: they gave me over £4000 back plus interest at 8% on this as well as cancelling the remaining monthly repayments which is another £6000, so OVER £10,000 in total :D

I copied the letter template from this website and edited it to my circumstances and i received a reply instantly saying they were looking into it and a few weeks later i got another letter saying they were giving me the money back.

Thats all it took 1 letter, 10minutes work for over £10k

    Thank you so much :T

no doubt you will be haveing a celebratory drink

well done on getting back what is rightfully yours

My hubby received an email from the FOS today as they been chasing LLoyds for his Credit Card PPI refund on the Credit Card he paid in full in 2004.
    Dear
I have received correspondence from Lloyds advising that they have now received the necessary information to calculate your redress.
According to LLoyds you should receive your refund before the end of next week.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should there be any problems.
    Kind regards
    H

Just had great news! I took out a loan with Lloyds TSB in 2007 and was staggered at the amount of interest applied to my account,. when I looked back I realised that I was put under some pressure to take out PPI insurance. I used the templates on this site and wrote to Lloyds stating that I was ms- sold the insurance. After a number of letters and 3 months later they eventually offered me £760 as a 'good will jesture' I came to the assumption that if the they have made me an 'offer' then they must feel responsible. I wrote again and was told that they had reviewed my claim and that I would have 7 days to accept. I then downloaded the Financial Ombudsman forms with copies of all my correspondences etc. I waited and waited and waited for the Omudsman's decision and even phoned them on four occasions and on each occasion was told that an Adjudicator will be looking at my case and that they have a backlog of approx. 8-9 months with these sort of claims. At last 8 months down the line Lloyds have been instructed to pay me £2,920 and Lloyds have confirmed.
ADVICE: Stick in there and don't necessarily accept the first offer. Thank you Ombudsman. Well worth the wait!
  • More successes!! :T

I had a voicemail left by Welcome Finance this morning saying that they are hoping to resolve my case in two weeks time. I called them back and she said she would be looking at it this afternoon. I'm going to call back on Monday ... you know, just to check up! :)
