Congratulations!! Although slightly jealous :) My case was finally concluded by the Financial Ombudsman at the end of November and I have been waiting since for a letter from Welcome Finance with my offer. I'm hoping now that you have (almost) had yours, mine will be not far behind.

Have you tried foning them Kirstie? It took me 2 letters & 2 fone calls & I've had my offer & acceptance form in the post this morning, which has already been signed & sent back!!!
The complaints dept number is 0845 080 1800 - ask for Kayleigh Stretton, she's the one who made the (correct!) decision & signed my final response letter, so perhaps if you go directly to her you'll get things moving faster.x

    • What were you reclaiming: PPI
    • Who was the provider: Egg Loan
    • How much did you get back: £6,861.66
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale

I sent a template first letter, taken from this site, off 4 weeks ago received an acknowledgement letter saying they were looking into it. I got a second letter on 4 days ago, asking for a further 4 weeks to investigate. Then today I received a letter offering me £6,861.66!!!!!!

I am over the moon, it has taken me 4 years to get here but I am now in a position where all I owe is 750 GBP (0% interest c/c balance transfer)!!! With the savings me and my gf have, we can look forward to getting on the property ladder. I can't tell you how good it feels to know that I will have no d/d's from my account going to repay debts!!!!

Thank you so much for the help of everyone on here, in particular di3004!!!!!

Success I have managed to claim back PPI on Business Overdraft for my Business Partner. Sorted directly with Lloyds. Took 8 weeks for them to respond and uphold the complaint.

    £520.00 including interest.

Needing insurance is like needing a parachute. If it isn't there the first time, chances are you won't be needing it again.

Thanks Superwhy. I phoned them this afternoon and spoke to someone in the Complaints department. He told me that because I went to the Financial Ombudsman, it is dealt with by the Compliance team and the person who is dealing with my case leaves at 4pm. He looked through my notes and said that the best thing for him to do would be to send a note to the person in the Compliance team to call me as he didn't want to give me incorrect information and false expectations ... whatever that means!!

Let's hope I get the call tomorrow morning so I can update you all!

    Kirstie.
  • Natwest Offer!
    Hi all,
got my offer from Natwest today! £971 'goodwill' blah blah. This has taken around 11weeks from the initial letter but i'm not complaining. Going to post it tomorrow and have it in the bank beginning of April (hopefully!)
