I'm really not happy with their response, I just wanted to say bout it here to see what others though because I was kinda dumb struck lol
Thanks for the advive Di. I'm thinking I'll either call and ask for account info to be sent out and see what they say but also put it in writing to them stating time i called etc. What u think?
Your most welcome.
Yes ring them but its always wise to keep everything in writing as well if you can, because if you decided to take anything further, keep copies of everything you also send and receive, you have your correspondence then to fall back on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

How long did it take for Littlewoods to respond to your complaint? I sent them a letter 2 weeks ago as i noticed when going through some old statements I had been paying Extra Care Advantage for 3 years!!! havent heard anything back yet. I have heard though that Littlewoods just reject the complaints!!
Hi there
Maybe because you have not heard anything, you could ring the FOS for advice and see if they can write to them on your behalf, they normally do this on your request, explain they have ignored you, if they receive a letter from the FOS on your behalf, its unlikely they will ignore you then.
But of course they have 8 weeks in full, if its gone past that stage then contact the FOS, good luck.;)

Barclays Loan PPI Reclaim
Failed
They have refused to refund me the PPI that i have repaid and denied that they have misold PPI to me.
So I am now going to take this case to FOS, wish me luck!
Hi yes I am about to start a ppi reclaim with Barclays. I'm looking here on this forum for any success stories with Barclays. No luck so far - be good to hear how you get on."onwards & upwards"0 -
I applied with the letters here on my partners credit card account - not expecting too much, but I'd read it and thought it worth a go. I'd already got my late payments refunded.
We got statements, and a copy of his original agreement which clearly had the 'no' box ticked for insurance. (I have no idea why he'd paid it for so long without query).
MBNA repaid him £104 pounds in late payment charges, fobbed us off with a couple of 'it is taking longer to investigate your complaint' letters about the insurance.
Finally last week they sent a letter saying he 'agreed to PPI insurance during a follow up telephone call a week later, but as a gesture of goodwill yadda yadda' and that a cheque for £2,008 would be forwarded under seperate cover'.
It's not here yet, but we have the letter promising it so it's coming! :j
Thankyou very very much!
(I wanted a horsetrailer in exchange for my hard work, but he bought me an Indian meal instead -I'm not sure that's a fair exchange).0 -
Afternoon All just been off the phone with halifax asking for an update on my ppi ,the woman that i spoke to said nothing has happened on the complaint and they have 8 weeks to respond . but informed her the 8 weeks is up on monday, they will send letter if they can't close the matter within the 8 weeks. just wondering if anyone else has had the same dealings with halifax. What should be my next step
Hi there
Good luck with this, hope you hear soon with some good news.
You do have the opportunity to take your complaint to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) just as long as the 8 weeks have passed, however, they all have backlogs of these complaints to get through, so maybe it will be soon, its up to you if you want to wait a little longer, give your own timescale say about 14 days, then if you hear nothing, then consider moving on to the FOS.
As you have made contact with them now, they may move this on quicker for investigation.
Good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi HaveFaith, (great name)
We successfully claimed from Barclays sent letter stating reasons for missale they sent a questionnaire which we filled in to the best of our knowledge asking them to refer to their own records and our original letter. They sent a breakdown of the refund including contractual int + 8% stat int, took a little while but they they refunded the cc. :T
Good luck keep in touch:A0 -
hi all
following on from page 406, i sent a letter to welcome finance on 29/01/2010, requesting information
i originally thought i had 2 loans, a personal loan and a car loan, but it turns out, that when i took the car loan, i topped up the personal loan
i have received a letter this morning stating my account numbers (I didnt have these, as i had moved house), and they have said they are pleased to inform me that they are dealing with my request, it was a quick response, so here's hoping!!
On a different subject, we are about to buy a new car, new to us, second hand, i have never haggled for anything in my life, but money is tight now so i read the information given on this website this week, and followed links through to a site written by car salesmen. I couldnt believe their advice and insights and am now confident i will get a good deal!!!0 -

Hi There if it was front loaded PPI you will have to refinance the loan. If it was stand alone PPI you can just cancel it.:mad:0
