  • What were you reclaiming: Credit Card ppi
    Who was the provider: Barclaycard
How much did you get back: Visa £14,900. Mastercard £5,800.
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1 template letter & Barclaycard questionnaire
And then write your brief reclaim tale Had these cards since 1993, ppi insurance added after a cold call from them informing that ppi was now needed to continue with the credit facility, being naive agreed to this being added and thought no more about it till comming across this site last year.
Sent template letter in October and within 2 weeks received a reply asking for their questionnaire to be filled in and returned. Then received a letter in December saying they needed more time to look into the complaint and would write again before 31st December with there findings.
Yesterday received there response offering a full refund of all ppi premiums payed and associated interest totalling over £20,000. in total :beer::beer:
As this leaves the accounts with a credit balance, that amount will be transferred to our Bank Account upon receipt of the acceptance offer form.
I cannot believe how much has been payed over the years and cannot thank all posters on this site for their help and advice given to anyone who asks.
Finnaly I would like to encourage anyone thinking of making a claim to go for it - I did and cannot believe the result - this will certainly be a HAPPY 2010 for us :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
thanks again to :money:and everyone on this site for your help and advice.

  • Lloyds TSB payment timings!
Hi just to let any concerned Llolyds TSB claimers know how long it took!
I sent the acceptance to LTSB 15-11, and they confirmed they scanned it into their system 19-11 but couldn't tell me when they would pay.
I had a nice surprise this morning when £515 was put into my bank account! I think it's been about 6 weeks in all.

    cheers

I put a claim in to Welcome Finance at the end of November regarding mis-sold ppi & within 2 weeks received a questionairre from them which I promptly filled in & sent back. Two days ago I got a letter saying they are still looking into my claim, & thanking me for my patience. Today I received a fonecall from a guy at Welcome saying that they had sent me a cheque & were just wondering why I hadn't cashed it, it turns out that they had sent it to my old address, I've moved house since the loan finished in August 2008.

When I asked him how much the cheque was for & what exactly it was for he said it was for £42 because of slight overpayement made by me on my loan. I always payed by direct debit every month & the amount was set by them so are they just trying to distract me from the real issue of mis-sold PPI? which I calculated to be £1400 + 8% interest. Should I ring them back & ask about that, or leave it a while because they still have 2 weeks of their 8 week time limit left?

eisis on behalf of lloyds agreed as a good will gesture that i would be getting back my ppi on the 10 of august, but could take 8 to 12 weeks for me to recieve it,nearly 21 weeks later, nothing,as i went through the fos i have no contact number for eisis, have had contact with fos about it but they don't seem to be playing ball with fos either.Started this claim in feb last year, had to go all the way with it, fos involved, but as they have already agreed to pay back ppi it seems there is nothing else the fos can do,I know that i will get the interest but its not the point,I would just like it done with. Has anyone else had to wait this long with them agreeing to pay the ppi back? is this normal procedure?
  • Congratulations to you all on your wins:beer:
What a great start to 2010.:D

    Hi there
I would write to them about this, and/or ring them, ask them to explain this to you in detail and if they can also put this into writing as well, good luck.;)

So sorry to hear of the messing round your going through here, its just not fair and they have had more than enough time to deal with this!

I know its a pain, but keep on at them all the time, and even tell them you will have to start a new complaint otherwise, and request for distress compensation for the inconvenience they have caused.
I'm not saying they will pay this extra out, but it may help them move this on quicker for you.

Good luck please keep us posted.;)
