I put a claim in for ppi against GE money it was on a loan for 60,000 so it quite a lot of ppi. i received a letter from them this morning admitting that they provided the finance for the ppi but they did not sell it to me, that was a company called loans 4 you and that i should claim against them.
This sounds to me like they are just trying to pass the buck.
Should i continue my claim against ge money or start a new claim against loans for you. any help would be appreciated.
GE money aslo said this was there final response, do you think they are trying to stop me continuing i don't want to give up on this has the ppi amounts to 12,0000 -

Hi there
If this was not GE money that sold you the finance then you write to the other as they stated, for GE money to say its the final response gets me thinking though, because they just confirmed they were not responsible and it was loans4u.
Maybe GE money are just stating that this will be the final decision from them.
So get a photocopy of the letter you received from them, and a copy of the letter you sent to GE money, and sent it to loans4u, this way this finance business will be aware that you have already tried GE money, and confirmed its them that are responsible.
Found these details here of loans for you, but according to checking them out on companies house they dissolved.
What year did you take out this loan? There may be other ways around this.

Wonder if the FOS will be able to investigate where you should take this from here.
I would, when you have some spare time in the week, contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), and ask if they can check where you take this from here, they have with mine and many more on here, and I was in the same position as you here, with the business dissolved, the FOS have recently taken mine on with pursuing the underwriters/insurers instead.
Have you any paperwork at all showing the name of the insurers by any chance?
If not then the lender GE money should be able to supply these details to you.
Details of the FOS here:

I was going to suggest the Financial compensation scheme as well also known as the FSCS.

Sometimes when the business have dissolved, you can take it this direction, but this will also depend if loans for you were actually regulated as such by the FSA etc, however there is on harm in ringing them just to make sure and ask if they have them listed with them.
If they do, then you make a claim through these.
But otherwise I would contact the FOS as suggested in my above post, they should be able to check on this one for you on your behalf.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
I would personally make sure with the FOS first, as they may suggest that you keep to GE money, where you've had the final response from them already, but they would then investigate the complaint for you, but there is no harm whatsover in writing to Pinnacle to see what they come back with.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Once again thanks I will contact the FSO on Monday and see where they advise I take this, Im not going to give up its too much money.0
