  • HI Everyone,

    I firstly would like to thank Mr Money Expert for creating this site for your everyday person, and the useful hints & tips.

    I would like to say that I sent my PPi letter to the Llotds TSB to Claim back £797.50 in PPI charges, I have just recieved a letter from the above mentioned bank. Stating that they are upholding my claim for £797.50, and the refund will be calculated in to way.

    This is the way that they are calculating my refund:
    8% on the monthly payment and then 8% on the annual figure.

    So for anyone that has not decided to claim, all I can say is if you don't ask you don't get what your due back.

    I will be a few hundred pound better off now.

    I am still waiting for RBS and Black Horse to get back to me.

    But this is a positive start!

    Yeah I followed your story re Egg and was kinda hoping it would be resolved along a similar timescale!! Did you mention in your first letter about Egg having been fined for mis-selling?I'm not sure if I put enough in initial letter.
    I am e-mailing all my correspondance to them too via secure messaging service.

    Ooh would appreciate knowing which year. My year was 2001 but I do believe they have paid out to other people for that year.

    I have been waiting since the beginning of September, it went all the way to FOS, with there intervention BH decided to payout, but still waiting for them to send the cheque, dont even know how much I am expecting to receive.

    Good luck on getting your money back, hope it's a bit faster than mine.

    Sorry have no definate time period but have seen success in 2004 for this reason.

    Thanks I am going to send 2nd letter (by e-mail - much quicker) just in case and the straight to FOS.

    Hi Tomcody,

    I did mention them getting fined in my letter - I picked 3 reasons for claiming.

    It may be worth re-sending by e-mail (cro.support@egg.com). Put it for the attention of the Customer Relations Adviser who 'wrote' to you.
