    Hi there all.

Had a rejection letter from Egg CC PPI this was an internet application from 2001.
    Stated the following:-

    Our online sales process:
Doesn't require you to take PPI as a condition of obtaining CC
Does not provide and advisory service
Required you to positively confirm that you wished to purchase PPI
Provided full terms and conditions of the policy and requested you read them before submitting.

They have sent a copy of my real time application there is a box which reads accident sickness unemployment and life they are saying if I hadn't opted this would have read 'none'.

Anyone got any ideas or had sucess with Egg CC PPI.

    Hi there

Many have been turned away for online ppi purchases and EGG is one of them, however, do not give up, hopefully amersall will post up on this one for you, as she was successful with keeping at them.
The FOS are now getting used to dealing with online applications where many have been mis sold, so if that was the final response, take your complaint to them, otherwise write back to EGG for them to consider.

Hopefully amersall will be along soon, good luck and keep at them.;)

  • Hi

    Great site.

I received a letter yesterday from Abbey in connection with my loan from Cahoot taken out in 2005.

They had looked at my complaint and agreed that I had not been given sufficient information to make an informed decision about PPI and have offered me just over £4K (I'm accepting as I only expected about £500), which is a total refund of all instalments plus interest at 8%.

I used the template letter from this site.

Thanks again - just waiting to hear back from my credit card companies.

Getting there, slowly but I WILL be debt free before I retire

Thanks for that I think that I will give them one last try but would be grateful if anyone has any tips of any extra bits to add to letter.

Just looking at the Real time application copy they have sent me the PPI bit they say I filled in is not showing as a tick box or drop down option. Also it is a separate section of the form that they used to put my credit limit, credit score and I believe authorise the application. So as I look at i this is a section I wouldn't have been able to access - they are not showing me where I selected PPI.

    Hi there,

All it took was one letter from the templates on this site and Egg refunded £800 back against my outstanding balance within 10 days.

I find it strange that they are fighting yours as mine was completed online too .......I think it's time for Template Letter 2!!

    All the very best,
