    Hi Di

Yes they did, but this was a copy of the original schedule they sent when I first asked for the charges. They all appear to be right, they explained they were refunding the difference. Someone else on here said they had the same letter, went back to them saying the offer was no good, threatened them with FOS and claims court and got full amount back.

    Any recommendations?

You could write back and tell them your not happy with the decision and the amount, and if that was not the final offer do this and ask that they get back to you by 14 days to reconsider this for you, then of course, if they do not do this in your favour, take to the FOS.;)

    Hi,
I emailed Christ Duckworth as advised on your post and got a very prompt response, saying that it would need to be passed to the BOS part of the old Lloyds Banking Group and someone should be getting in touch. We shall see. If they don't I can always email Chris Duckworth until someone does contact me haha.

    Well good luck then :D;)

  • Hi all,

I think this has to be the best site I have found! I am claiming back PPI for the following:

Egg CC PPI - £800 paid against my balance after 1 letter (10 days ago)!!:j
MBNA CC PPI - Sold insurance even though self employed! - Awaiting reply
Endeavour PF PPI - Single premium policy claim - Awaiting reply
A&L Loan PPI - Awaiting reply
BoS One Card PPI - Awaiting reply

I have another query - we changed mortages about 4 years ago from BoS to Clydesdale Bank and they never cancelled my wife's TMP policy (they cancelled mine automatically). I recently noticed that I have been paying £20.65 p.m. for the last 4 years for protection on a mortgage we didn't have - can I claim this back + interest?

Tried to phone BoS today but they won't speak unless my wife gives permission.

Martin - you and your team are stars!

    Cheers:beer:,

    Hi and welcome.;)

And well done to you

I note you had a loan from Endeavour, was it Endeavour that sold you the loan or a broker?, what year did you take this out?

Sorry for the questions, just making sure on this one as I was dealing with them and passed from pillar to post, but think we are getting there now, hope they resolve this for you, good luck and with the other reclaims as well.;)

In regards of the mortgage question, you may be able to claim back on this but I think this would be one for dunstonh to answer to, if you want to post about this actual question on a separate thread, I'm sure Dunstonh will come across it and give some useful advice on this for you.

Sent template 1 letter to HBOS regarding the PPI on mycurrent loan and received a letter saying as I am a valued customer (of 34 years but I'm closing my accounts soon as they are closing the counters in my local Halifax Estate agents and I'll be damned if I tramp into Preston City Centre when there's a Lloyds and RBS on my doorstep) they will "pay me an amount which will put you back in the position you would have been had you not taken the insurance"

3 weeks later I finally get the settlement offer letter. They are paying the full premiums I have paid so far plus 8.8% interest plus 8% interest

    Refund of premiums £2,618.15
Refund of interest at 8.8% £746.32
    Interest at 8% £628.04
    Total £3,992.51

They then go on to say that because I have a short term remaining on my loan it will be paid off and the difference paid to my bank account within 28 days

    Total redress due £3,992.51
Less outstanding balance once PPI has been removed £1,999.80
    Redress to ME £1,992.71

So I'm getting £1,992.71 plus en extra £350 a month now that the loan is paid :T

Well chuffed. Many thanks to Martin and all the previous people before me who have done all the donkey work. :T

    Wonderful, well done to you.:beer::T:beer:

Thanks Di, I intend getting a letter off to them. If everyone else has been sucessful then I don't see why my claim should be any different. I won't see the money of course, but at least it's a bit less debt around my neck!
I am going to ask them for my CCA too so that should hopefully put them on the back foot!

    Cheers

    Good for you hun :T:T
Hope this is resolved in your favour, good idea as well to ask for the CCA, for this however, I would enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, they should send this by 12 days of you requesting for this.;)

I was going to include a cheque, but is it such a good idea if it has my signature on it?

Maybe a postal order would be better then in this case.;)
