I,m happy to hear they are getting on with this Trisha, and I expect and hope you have a good outcome from this.

I don't think I will hear anything from HFC myself, even though Hamilton passed it on to them, and I exhausted their complaints procedures ages ago, even though it was addressed from Endeavour it was HFC that dealt with it.
Whether or not that makes any difference though I am not sure, I also hope that the FOS will get back tomorrow, and see what they can make of it.;)

I quoted this post Trisha and on mine deleted the account number as you will see, so thought I would let you know, so you can also do yours as well lol Xx

Lol thankyou hun, I made that account number up :-) :rotfl:

Loans.co.uk - I'm still waiting for my cheque!!!! Its now 3 months since the FOS informed me that Loans.co.uk were going to repay my PPI. They are now 4 weeks over the 8 week time limit and have, apparently, now sent 2 cheques out to me - the first one presumably 'lost in the post' due to the postal strike. The FOS contacted Loans.co.uk last Monday to ask for the cheque to be re-issued and I'm now still waiting .......................... If no joy by Wednesday I have to ring the FOS again. I'm not happy!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Hi there

How long ago was it when you tried to reclaim from them?

You could actually give the FOS a ring and see what they suggest on this one, here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

It may be suggested that you can try to pursue through the insurer/underwriter instead, as some are trying to do this now, that have been in the same situation as yourself.
Ask the FOS on this first though, hopefully they will advise this.
Good luck and please let us know how you get on, cheers.;)

Right then okay, I would mention this to the FOS, and tell them you did not feel you had grounds to take this anywhere, as they were not governed when you taken this out in 2004, I would also make sure with the FOS if WF were covered by GISC, if this is the case then this was not disclosed to you by WF.

The other option would then be is to try pursing though the insurer/underwriter, see what the FOS suggest, good luck.;)

  • Hi all

Sorry if I am posting on the wrong thread - I was just wondering how successful people have been with Sainsburys bank on a loan. I have a joint loan for £6000 taken out in 2004 and still running - it's my loan but dad is the first named as he earned more - however we have since discovered the ppi would only pay out on him which us useless as it's me who pays it, also we have tried to cancel more than once everytime we have been told we can't,also I just assumed I had to have the ppi as they didn't tell me otherwise. Just wondering if I can expect a good outcome or not ? I sent the letter to sainsburys bank , but should I have sent it to bank of Scotland? Thanks all

  • Just a quick update regarding claim against egg; adjudicator ruled in my favour and asked egg to respond to his findings by early September. They did'nt bother. Had a call from next stage adjudicator to say claim had to go to Ombudsman. This was only a couple of weeks ago so I was really surprised to get letter yesterday confirming final decision has been made in my favour. HURRAH! Question is how long will egg take to sort out cheque??? Is there a time limit that they have to abide by and do they?

The FOS ruled in my favour back in April (I think), it then took Egg almost six months to send the cheques through. I spoke to the FOS a few times for updates and I had one "we're-working-on-it" letter from Egg. Apparently it was due to a "backlog" in the department handling the refunds. I did noticed that one cheque, for the largest amount, was dated June, the rest where dated more recently.
