    SUCCESS AGAINST BARCLAYCARD

I filed a complaint with barclaycard in May 08. They told me to get lost as it was time statute barred and as it was over 6 years (by 3 months) since I had taken the card they didnt have to refund me.

I went to the ombudsman in june 08 and they ruled in my favour and I finally received my payment notice this morning.

It has only taken barclaycard about 3 weeks since I signed my agreement and sent back to ombudsman and ombudsman are saying due to backlog it could take up to 8 weeks.

    Amount received: £1368.00

As I have already cleared the balance on my barclaycard (through other paybacks from them) this will nicely pay for christmas for the kids.

Note to barclaycard. If you didnt keep arguing the toss you would have less interest to pay back and it wouldn't cost you so much money.

I was expecting about £400 less than they have actually paid me.

It has taken about 18 months but well worth the wait.

Thanks Martin and everyone else for your tips and advice.

Just waiting for payments back from the dreaded Ocean Finance/Blemain now.
Brilliant and after such a long wait. Well done to you:beer::j

    Hi there
They are entitled to 8 weeks, sometimes they request for extra time, but just as long as the 8 weeks have passed, you are entitled to take your complaint to the FOS.;)
Good luck, hope you receive some good news, the next time you hear from them.
