Have just received a cheque for £2392.10 for missold PPI sent first letter on 25th August and received this today, I am so happy as I can clear most of my debts and get the kids their christmas presents. I have to say that Halifax dealt with my complaint very quickly and fairly.

Thanks to Martin and his fight against the big banks I have claimed back £2,500 Alliance and Leicester and another £2159.00 from BOS. This has made my life so much easier can now concentrate on the debts and reduce them accordingly. I just downloaded the template letters of the site and heypresto. Alliance and Leicester notified me within a month that my claim had been successful. BOS it took about two months at first they said that I had been awarded £2800 and this would immediately be paid off against what I owed them on the sainsbury credit card but after appealing to them they relented and have offered me a cheque for £2159.00.
Just waiting on MBNA and another claim with Alliance and Leicester - watch this space. RBS refused me but I will be appealing.
Thanks Martin.
Well done to you Susie :T:T
Congratulations.

I used the letters on here to claim back £3785.32 from Barclays. I only sent the stage one letter and they responded with 5 days to say they had recieved my complaint, it took another 2 months with letters inbetween from barclays to tell me they were still dealing with it for them to tell they were refunding the full amount plus 8% on top of it. The money was in my (today)account within 5 minutes of me putting the telephone down, I have not recieved it in writting but the money is deffinately in my account, Thank you for your letters and guides on this website. I never thought i would get the money back. I am one happy person at the moment.0

Hi,
I am very knew to this and I am just looking for a bit of guidance and hope!!!
My husband I took out a large loan out in August 2005 through Loans.co.uk who placed the business with First Plus. Part of the deal to get the loan was that we HAD to take out PPI with them. We questioned this at the time and where told it was the only way they would issue such a large loan but that we shouldnt worry because if we didnt claim we would get all the insurance premium back as long as we didnt make a claim, after 5 years. We were desperate so agreed. After 4 years of paying this huge repayment I was browsing MSE website and read about the PPI reclaims. I think we were missold the policy based on the fact
We were told we had to have it and that it wasn't optional
We werent advised that it was available elsewhere
Most significantly Loans.co.uk are on the list of companies already fined for mis-selling policies.
I have sent a letter to Loans.co.uk using the templates provided. I also forwarded the letter to First Plus who said it had nothing to do with them, but did say that they had passed it on to a contact in Loans.co.uk.
Do we have a case??? Just looking for a bit of reassurance..... Has anyone had any success with Loans.co.uk/First Plus???
Look forward to hearing from you

Hello and welcome.;)
Loans.co.uk were fined for mis selling PPI as from Jan 2005 sales.
You write to the ones that sold you this finance, with your reasons you have stated, and they have 8 weeks in full to respond, if they do not resolve this for you, then take it to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), they should give details of these in the final response, and post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting.
Do not worry about writing the amounts down though at this time.
For more useful info and templates check here:

Good luck, please keep us posted and ask for help when required.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
