    Hi all

Sorry if I am posting on the wrong thread - I was just wondering how successful people have been with Sainsburys bank on a loan. I have a joint loan for £6000 taken out in 2004 and still running - it's my loan but dad is the first named as he earned more - however we have since discovered the ppi would only pay out on him which us useless as it's me who pays it, also we have tried to cancel more than once everytime we have been told we can't,also I just assumed I had to have the ppi as they didn't tell me otherwise. Just wondering if I can expect a good outcome or not ? I sent the letter to sainsburys bank , but should I have sent it to bank of Scotland? Thanks all

    Hi there
Whoever sold you the finance is the ones you write to.

If you have the chance browse through this thread, its such a long one, and possibly there have been success with these.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)

  • Thanks Di3004

The loan and ppi was all direct through sainsburys so I will stick with just the one letter to them so far and see where that gets me.

I have just found the nifty little 'search this thread tool' and lots of people seem to have been successful with sainsburys, but seem to have taken along time. So am feeling optimistic. Fingers crossed, and I will keep you all posted.

    Hi,
I have a few sucess stories my self, best one with welcome finance. I originally went into arrears with the account so they rewrote the loan and only refunded part of ppi back in 2007. So i sent in a ppi claim to ask for the rest, they tried to fob me off first and took exactly 8 weeks to respond . I told them i was not satisfied and they sent me a cheque for £589 + interest!!!

Also loan with hfc back in 2006. wrote a letter and included that they had been fined by fsa and cheque for £350 + interest came in 6 weeks.
Took another loan with citi financial got back £712 in ppi
River island store card refunded charges of £99
Vanquis card refund charges of £132
In the line for HSBC charges.

Hi can i just ask you what you said to citifinacial and how long it took, ive got 5 ppi claims that ive sent them.. was just wondering ... thanks:p

Well lets hope they sort this out for ASAP, good luck hun and let us know.;)

    Hi Di,

Its good to be back and to see how things are going for other people. Unfortunately, I'm trying to work as much as I can (I do transcribing NHS/medico-legal work from home after I've finished my other job as a home help!!) so by the time I've finished that I just turn the computer off and try and relax!!!!

This whole Loans.co.uk thing has been a real pain and now I'm at the end of it its still a pain!!! It took 18 months to go through the FOS (with loads of problems there!) now its taken a further 3 months waiting for Loans.co.uk to actually get my cheque sent!! Its driving me crazy!!! I just want the money so I can get things paid off so I don't have to worry about my debts (or at least not worry so much!!)

Anyway, my family's fine. Hannah's now 8 months old and a beautiful, happy little girl whose thriving well after a very stressful start to life. My grandsons are gorgeous, if not a couple of little devils but I love them to bits!!! Thank you for asking. I hope you and yours are all well and things are going well for you. Thanks once again for your support, and all the other fantastic people on here who are so supportive. You've all given me and so many other people the boost we need to get started and keep going with these claims. I just hope that in the next day or 2 I might be posting that I've actually got my cheque.

Thank you all!! Love and hugs.

Thanks for your reply Yelf!! I'll certainly do it. I've got the paperwork relating to the loan somewhere in my bedroom so I'll find it out and get down to it.

    Thanks again.
