  • I tried to reclaim ppi payments ages ago using the letter templates on this site. Unfortunately I recieved a letter from MBNA to say that the ombudsman would not uphold my claim as it was outside the correct time window(or some such nonsense!). I heard nothing else until this week when I received a cheque from MBNA for just less than £1,700. This amount includes interest and an extra payment of £150! Thank you money saving expert. :-)

I,m happy to hear they are getting on with this Trisha, and I expect and hope you have a good outcome from this.

I don't think I will hear anything from HFC myself, even though Hamilton passed it on to them, and I exhausted their complaints procedures ages ago, even though it was addressed from Endeavour it was HFC that dealt with it.
Whether or not that makes any difference though I am not sure, I also hope that the FOS will get back tomorrow, and see what they can make of it.;)

I quoted this post Trisha and on mine deleted the account number as you will see, so thought I would let you know, so you can also do yours as well lol Xx

recently wrote to the AA regards a mis-sold PPI policy. Just got a letter from Bank of Scotland confirming a £828 refund in total (including interest missed by having paid the premiums), and also showing that the monthly payment will now be £100 less!

I have a loan with AA and was wondering whether to try and reclaim. I haven't noticed any other claims against them so now I've seen yours I think I'll give it a go!! Congratulations and well done on reclaiming!!!

Loans.co.uk - I'm still waiting for my cheque!!!! Its now 3 months since the FOS informed me that Loans.co.uk were going to repay my PPI. They are now 4 weeks over the 8 week time limit and have, apparently, now sent 2 cheques out to me - the first one presumably 'lost in the post' due to the postal strike. The FOS contacted Loans.co.uk last Monday to ask for the cheque to be re-issued and I'm now still waiting .......................... If no joy by Wednesday I have to ring the FOS again. I'm not happy!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
