Hi,
I have a few sucess stories my self, best one with welcome finance. I originally went into arrears with the account so they rewrote the loan and only refunded part of ppi back in 2007. So i sent in a ppi claim to ask for the rest, they tried to fob me off first and took exactly 8 weeks to respond . I told them i was not satisfied and they sent me a cheque for £589 + interest!!!
Also loan with hfc back in 2006. wrote a letter and included that they had been fined by fsa and cheque for £350 + interest came in 6 weeks.
Took another loan with citi financial got back £712 in ppi
River island store card refunded charges of £99
Vanquis card refund charges of £132
In the line for HSBC charges.
Although its nice to get back what I am owed, it was not nice trying to manage my debts when i was going through a hard time, I will in future only take what i can afford and not be so silly and read everything properly!!!0 -
Anyone had any luck reclaiming misold ppi with ford credit???0

Took a loan out from HFC (I have learned my lesson now tho) and I chanced my arm with this as I was specifically told that I would have to take the insurance to get the loan. I was in a very tight spot money wise from the fallout of a relationship falling apart so I took it. I took the chance recently and fired off the templated letter with little hopes of a good outcome.
The other day I got a letter telling me on the first page the whole thing was my fault as I signed the agreement and passed the cooling off phase. So I was a little downhearted when I flipped the page but suddenly they offered me £1964.11 if I aggreed to not take it any further!
So now I am looking for a better rate loan or maybe a CC with 0% to pay off the last of the loan with the above payment!
Thanks Martin!:money:0 -

Hi there
Not sure on that one, but if you have a case of being mis sold then go for it.
Was it actually arranged and sold by Ford Credit?
If so you write to them by giving them your reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond.
If they do not resolve in your favour, if eligible you may be able to take this to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.
Post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.
More info on link below with templates and a checklist of mis selling reasons, if any of those occur to you then also write them in your letter as well, do not worry about writing the amounts, good luck and please let us know how you get on, cheers.

recently wrote to the AA regards a mis-sold PPI policy. Just got a letter from Bank of Scotland confirming a £828 refund in total (including interest missed by having paid the premiums), and also showing that the monthly payment will now be £100 less!0

Just a quick update regarding claim against egg; adjudicator ruled in my favour and asked egg to respond to his findings by early September. They did'nt bother. Had a call from next stage adjudicator to say claim had to go to Ombudsman. This was only a couple of weeks ago so I was really surprised to get letter yesterday confirming final decision has been made in my favour. HURRAH! Question is how long will egg take to sort out cheque??? Is there a time limit that they have to abide by and do they?0
