    • What were you reclaiming: PPI
    • Who was the provider: Egg
    • How much did you get back: Over 900 and £200 compensation
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Ombudsman.
Money arrived in bank today after Egg received my acceptance form beginning of August from the Ombudsman.

Hi, i sent letter to the fos about welcome in March, got a lovely cheque through the post (£800 more than expected) mid August, just persevere & it will be your turn!!:j
  • Hi Di, hope you're keeping well! not been on for a while again! think mortgages & loans were not covered by fos, so the fos have now replied to me saying that they are looking into the sale of the ppi that the underwriters for Think mortgages, (Sterling insurance), were responsible for the selling, have you heard anything like this before??

Send after it's been 8 weeks, probably all these companies send a fob off letter at 1st, happened to me, & I eventually got my money back, patience is a virtue!!!

    Hi Dreamer06
How are you? Hope your well.:A Its good to hear from you.

Damn sorry to hear that news hun....I assumed they would have been covered......, glad you have another direction to go on this now though, and it seems that the FOS are recently suggesting many to go the underwriter direction, so there is hope yet then?

Good luck with this and please keep us posted.;)
