PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

hi every one I am new to this site I dont know if I am send this to the right place I asked Lloyds tsb to pay back my ppi about 8 weeks ago they send a letter today saying they can not give a final reponse at the monment if I want I can go to FOS so I send the complain to FOS today does anyone else had the same problem with lloyds

Hello and welcome.;)

Your right, just as long as the 8 weeks have passed you are entitled to take your complaint to the FOS, as Lloyds have confirmed, it is up to you now though if you want to give lloyds a little longer, have your own timescale and if it goes on too long before you hear anything further then move on to the FOS.

I have just sucessfully claimed back £4300+ from Welcome Finance -had one check for uust over £2300 and today have deposited another cheque for just over £2000

I started with EGG back in Sep/Oct '08, and I cant remember exactly when I contacted the Ombudsman, probably before the New Year, but what with their back log I finally heard from the Ombudsman in July '09 and got my result in Sept, so about 8 weeks once they finally got around to reviewing my case.

Hi everyone,

I had a £5000 loan with Amber. I'm sure there was PPI with the loan but i'm not sure if there is still an Amber. Does anyone know who i can contact to find this out??

As promised, I tried checking out Amber, I take it they were called

"Amber finance ltd"?

Found detaills here, hope they are the correct ones.
Was the finance sold by Amber or a broker?
