Well done to you.:beer::T:beer:
They all vary from one bank to another but if you have an existing loan, some refund towards the loan, say for example there are any arrears they would normally pay towards them and anything remaining directly to you.
Just to give you an idea, Maxdp posted up a thread to how the FOS calculates refunds, check this out here as well.

Youve lost me hahahah to complicated for moi, all i can say is never missed a payment and all made on time. have made 24 payments of the loan which equates to £2712 paid off single premium ppi.( not including loan repayment ) i was under the impression that i will get that back plus full cost of premium & intrest. obiviously the premium and intrest then subtracted off the current amount.... and HOPE that what i have already paid refunded back as a cheque ?....0 -

Hi there
Yes that was just an example I gave on my above post.;)
I agree they should refund directly back to you.
If you get the chance to read through the posts, even with no arrears some banks have refunded towards the loans if still active and the remainder comes back to you.;)
Hopefully Marshallka will post and explain more on this one for you XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Could marshalka send a private message regarding the above please. and many thanks to eveyones advice on this greatly appriecieated.

I think it depends on the bank, but when I got my refund, I got cash back. This was because several months previously, I'd asked them to remove the PPI from the loan, and they had to recalculate the loan amount. This basically became a new loan, so the cash was refunded to me rather than deducted from the loan. Different banks may have different procedures.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.

I sent my first letter a bit back to HSBC, had two letters since saying they are busy with complaints at the moment and they will respond to me soon. Got a phone call from the local branch today asking me to go in to discuss it. Anyone else had this?0
