PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Received letter back from ombudman today with final decision on my egg complaint and they are backing me, lets see if egg pay up! I really hope so!

Its all new with FOS apparently as i was told last week where they can hold the underwriter responsible if there is a tie between them. This is difficult to prove in some instances and I have had my complaint there for a very long time and still no news on it. I rang this week and was told its still very new and that there was news on mine as yet and whether the complaint is actually one they can deal with either. Lots have posted just recently where FOS has advised that the complaint can be taken up by the underwriter so lets hope its true.

Marshallka, I was thinking on this with my Endeavour one, but think its too late for me now, yet with everything in my way its only now that I have had the chance to get on with the claims again, due to personal reasons, what do you think my chances are on this one?;)

Hi Guys, another success. Have had a letter from the FO today telling me that Black Horse Finance are happy to play ball with me and refund my PPI. I don't know how much it will be but every little helps

Hi. Came home to an offer from MBNA on my CC PPI - £1500! I can't believe it as they did not uphold my loan PPI complaint. Go figure!

Anyway, that one is with the FOS!

Just wondering if its worth asking if they are able to consider at least offering you a more reasonable amount before you go the FOS direction, but just give them something like 7 days to consider, just a thought, sometimes this works.

Otherwise take to the FOS where they will continue this one for you, good luck either way.

That is the thing with these offers isn't it?
Because they don't want to admit liability to mis selling.

I would personally write back to them and tell them your not satisfied with the offer and you still strongly believe you were mis sold, and request again that they offer you the full amount, or at least the nearest offer to that amount.;)
