    Hello -

I took a £15k loan from Paragon almost 2 years ago including a PPI of £19p/m. After sending them the first letter template, I got an offer of £1k to "give-up" my complaint.

Since I expended around ~£450 worth of premiums the £1k offer was sufficient so I have accepted.

    Thanks Martin and All.

    Well done and Congratulations.

Reclaimed PPI on a loan from M&S Money. I wrote one letter, following Martin's template, stating that I was told that I had to take out the insurance or they wouldn't consider the loan. I requested full re-imbursement of the loan plus 8% interest. I received an immediate reply stating that they would investigate my complaint. Approx 4 weeks later I have just received a letter stating that whilst they do not agree that I was mis-sold the policy, in this instance they are willing to offer an ex gratia payment of the full cost of the premium plus interest! Result! I should receive £3100 within the next 2 weeks! Thanks Martin, you're a star!:T

Great work, Well done and Congratulations.

  • Hi guys and gals,

I am new to this thread but wanted to let everyone know that I put in for reclaiming PPI for Egg, Allience and Leicester and Lloyds in March this year.

Egg paid out £500 pretty fast and that was refunded to my card.

Allience and Leicester settled at £1500 about 4 weeks ago.

I am just waiting on Lloyds which has been sent to the Ombudsman as they offered me a very low amount.

    Fingers crossed for Lloyds.:D

I am now debt free thanks to this and also thanks to my lovely husband:beer::T

  • Hi All
Firstly, A big hello to all on this site and well done to all the winners so far.

I have just recently received a letter from Barclaycard offering me back £4084 in ppi charges on a credit card I have had since 2001. It took 2 letters, a questionnaire and approx 10 weeks to get.

I also have a claim going through with egg on a credit card -(1st letter sent April), which is currently with the FOS awaiting allocation to an adjudicator.
Has anyone else got a claim with egg? How long has it been now?
  • I'd like to report my success thanks to this site.
My Egg loan I took out with payment protection insurance. I then since cancelled the protection back in 2006 - I still have my loan now. I sent the template letter 28th August and today I checked my loan and £653 has been credited and reduced my monthly payments by £36 per month !!
