What were you reclaiming: Egg Card PPI
    Who was the provider: Egg
How much did you get back: £169.89

I sent one letter and received the cheque.

Hi -could you pls tell me the basis for your claim? Thanks.

    Hi,

I just basically used the "You have already been fined..." section from Martin's Template Letter Number 1 and they coughed up. Good luck with your claim.

Well done to you with that one:T but usually it takes a little more for a reclaim than just stating they were fined. Its always best to add more reasons applicable to your own claims.

Firstly a big thank you Martin Lewis, without this site i wouldn't have had a clue of how to reclaim......

I am overly excited as in the last 5 days i've had money returned from PPI Insurance and Barclays for unfair charges....

HFC bank have reduced my loan by £1138.00 for mis sold PPI and it only took 1 letter which i sent 16th Aug...so really quick to pay up!!!

The PPI was £1103 so they paid out just over.....

...whats more, Barclays Have returned £1166 back to my account, however i am still persuing them for the £600 which was not paid. I claimed money through hardship and will push till the end.

Come on guys..... its so easy, get typing those letters!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK MARTIN!!!!

    Faye :j

    Well done Faye, Congratulations.

  • Money paid in today...nice.

I've had another loan from HSBC but cant remember any of the account details - is there a way I can get these from the bank at all or will they charge me to retrieve the details ?

If its only the agreement it costs £1 and send the request recorded delivery and they have 12 days to comply.

    Hi,

Barclaycard said they would cough up £69 as a good will gesture but it would be taken off of my balance with them.

I responded by saying that as I was made Bankrupt in April 2008 and discharged in April 2009 that I would like a cheque as there would be no balance.

I received a letter this morning saying that they can't send me a cheque and that the £69 has been taken off of my balance.

What shall I do now? Send them another letter with my Bankruptcy & Discharge Notification asking for a cheque?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hi there

Not sure what happens in regards of this matter, bankruptcy etc, but maybe it would be a good idea to send them a copy of the discharge notification.

It may also be a good idea to post this on the above bankruptcy site as well to see what they say on there, good luck with this.;)
