Hi everyone

I recieved a letter fom FOS today - they have upheld my claim against Egg. Almost home and dry - how likely is it Egg will disagree with the adjudictor's findings and it gets sent to Ombudsman?? Really surprised how quickly the adjudicator has dealt with this - claim was only passed to him a couple of weeks ago! I will hold off all celebrations until I get confirmation!!

Not many protest with the adjudicator if your case is strong enough and I would think that maybe Egg have made a goodwill gesture with it being that soon. However, egg are known for making the redress against anything that you owe them although some have protested it and won.

My complaint with Egg had to go to the Ombudsman as Egg did not bother to reply to the adjudicators findings. This took another 2 weeks.

Was this for an on-line or telephonic PPI sale? When did you send your claim to the Ombudsman?

Many thanks! This was an on-line sale. Sent claim to FOS in February. Adjudicator rang first week of August to say it was being assigned to him - letter arrived yesterday saying Egg had until 1st September to reply (looks like they may not bother). Letter also had compensation notes attached - I am now wondering how the 8% interest is applied.....as a lump sum against the total PPI paid? Loan finishes next week! :j

Thanks for the info. I sent in my on-line claim to the FOS towards the end of Feb so hopefully that means I am moving closer to an adjudicator and hopefully a positive result.

Not sure how the 8% interest is calculated, there are others on the forum that would probabky know.

Good luck, hope Egg refund you rpomptly and don't disagree with the Adjudicator's findings. Please keep us updated with your progress, I will follow closely..

Hi do not hold your breath Egg do not reply to adjudicators but wait for ombudsman, then mess you about saying they are building a calculator to work out the refund, the 8% is paid from the date you made each payment to the date they pay you out.

I have just received an offer from Aliance & Leicester offering a full refund plus 8% interest of £820 for mis-selling of PPI on my loan which I have accepted.

I am going to try and reclaim the PPI from my Nationwide CC next and also bank charges from Barclays.
