Thanks to everyone on here and especially Martin, I have been told that Lloyds TSB will be refunding the PPI on all of my previous 4 loans. I have waited the 12 weeks for them to calculate everything they owe me, however they keep fobbing me off. Apparently, because there are multiple loans involved, they have had to build a new calculator and it is still waiting to be signed off. Has anyone else had this? Surely I can't be the first person that Lloyds have paid out with multiple loans?0

Egg refunded my PPI after 1 letter. The original loan amount was £25K, with the PPI was nearly £33K. I got £10,260 refunded and taken off the remaining balance of the loan, plus this has also reduced by monthly payments by a whopping £270.
I used one of the templates provided on this site - Thank you very much!
One point to note however - I was in posession of the original loan paperwork that I signed in 2005, and I am certain that my full and unchallenged refund is because I had evidence to support my claim - that their original paperwork wording was misleading and did not give information that the PPI was optional. I suppose it also helped to quote their £750K in fines from the FSA
Anyhow, thanks MSE for making it happen.0 -

I got this back from a loan taken out. I fell in arrears and was sorting out help when a friend told me that I should not have had the PPI and the bank should not have sold it to me and told me about this site. I went for it, with a little help from the forum site, to which I am so grateful!!!! The template pages were so easy to do. You have to keep on, but be patient, it comes to you in the end!!!!
Thankyou so much to MoneySavingExpert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D0 -
hi all
i received a letter from halifax saying they were upholding my claim for four loans i have had with them. they state that if i am in arrears they will deduct the sum from the payment they will make to me, this is fine as i have no arrears but do still have a current loan with them. question is that will they pay me back the full amount or take it off my loan? i am not in arrears so as there letter states they should pay me it in full this is the way i read it. i could do with the cash so if they do take it off my loan can i go to the fo0 -
I recently wrote to M&S Money as I had been paying PPI for what seemed like for ever on my credit card.I didnt really notice it going out every month till I paid for my kitchen(to get the loyalty vouchers, paid that straight off on next statement) and saw £40 debited for PPI. Anyway just received a letter stating that they were going to be paying me back £544.38 including £78.38 interest!!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Its just paid for my week in Prague next Spring!! Next step LTSB personal loan!!!0 -
Having read all media interest and then the Martin Lewis website, made a claim for the refund of PPI when I discovered that I was paying £104 a month on top of my loan committment. The 84 month PPI would have added £9000 to my loan had I not made a claim. It is to be repaid but I am still waiting for the money to be credited to my account!! They tell me within 28 days. I am just holding my breath!! Thank you Martin it has certainly eased the pressure on an OAP's bank account as my monthly DD has decreased by £100 as well as getting the refund as a lump sum.
