Hi everyone I am trying to reclaim ppi on a loan I took out with hfs which is now owned by capitalone home owner loan I sent the reclaim letter to The oxford house oxford road cheshire but have had it returned today with address no longer there has anyone got a current address for them. thanks

    Hi hun.;)
I would at first check their details out on companies house, company search on here:
    http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/068d3464a6c7627ba8e0593b975f2508/companysearch?disp=1&frfsh=1247074265#result

As they have so many groups, if you have any documents, also check the company number.

When you received your letter back, did they give any leads on this for you?

What were you reclaiming: PPI on loan

Who was the provider: Household bank (now Beneficial Finance)

How much did you get back: £3400

Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: after 1st letter

Downloaded the letter and sent it off in March. Forgot all about it then got a letter May apologising for the delay and offering me over 3000 (including 8% interest), which ment that I only had to send them 700 and the loan was cleared saving me 3 years of further payments amounting to over 6000!! And all it cost was the price of a second class stamp! Cheers Martin:j

Well done and Congratulations Lunar, so pleased for you.

    Enjoy your meal as well......:p

    Good luck with Barclays.;)

Blackhorse have crumbled in the face of my strongly worded seconded letter! has taken a while as they didn't receive my letter first time I sent it. However, today they have written back and offered a full refund plus interest. Another £350 odd which now pays off the last of his loan. So far that takes our total up to passed £1800!
still awaiting news of the two barclay cards, they've sent him some sort of form to fill in, so will get that sorted.

The best advice i can give anyone on here is to be patient, and just keep writing back, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Don't let them get to you!

Hello, Ive been sucessful in reclaiming ppi and charges back but however i did have a credit card account with Sainsburys. How do I go about even checking that I had PPI on the account as I do not hold any statements etc or even any details of the account. If I ask for my details from Sainsburys will this show me that I had PPI attached to the credit?

:money:congratulations to all winners this week :T:T:T what excellent results:j:j:j well done, shows what we can do when we put our minds to it:D:D:D:D
  • I used the MSE template to request that the PPI was removed and refunded from a HSBC Graduate Loan (I was told that I couldn't have the loan unless I took out the PPI and being ill-informed and pretty desperate for the money, I complied....) Fast forward a couple of years and I realised I was being ripped-off big-style so through this website I did something about it - thanks :-)

HSBC sent a letter saying that they did not accept that they were at fauly but nevertheless agreed to refund the full amount plus interest (£1912) - success!!

However, here comes the chew......HSBC say that the money that they refunded (that they wrongly took from me in the first place) needs to be used to pay off my loan with them. When they restructured the loan they were insistent that the lump sum went back to them. I have another use in mind for a part of the money (namely paying off a credit card and a family wedding abroad that I must attend). Can they do this to me????
