hi all - just had letter from FP detailing out that they told us everything up front so if we have an issue to got to FSA...thing is they have still not send us any recordings of coversations which we requested in our SOA - should I keep pushing or give up? Loan was taken out in 2005 and my brothers can't remember what they were told by now!

    any advice?
you certainly have an issue here, do what i did go to fos, if you were mis sold you have a claim, this is just a stalling tactic. no way did fp tell any customer that this will only cover you for 5 years and that it was front loaded, i dont know where they get the gall from, you go for it, even if they have tapes etc NO ONE AT FP WILL HAVE TOLD YOU ALL YOU NEEDED TO KNOW, otherwise if they had we would not be on this forum now getting mis sold ppi back, as we would not have taken it in the first place, now would we?

thanks Di and amersall - i really appreciate all your feedback and yes I did mean FOS :D....

I really don't like this people...actually don't like the company - people probably have mortgages and bills to pay so don't really have much of a choice in what they tell customers!

Why can't they be more like C&G who I think behave much more ethically - everytime the rate was dropped a few weeks later I used to get a letter saying my interest rate had dropped.

    Hi All,

Has anyone tried emailing the CEO of Barclays to see if this speeds the process up?

    thanks

I doubt it, since if the CEO of the company I work for is sent a PPI complaint it is sent to the normal PPI process to be dealt with in the normal way, except that we have to put a paragraph in the letter to the customer about them writing to the CEO.

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I received the same letter and then I received another letter stating they would have to listen to my phone conversation and then they would get back to me, so do not give up as it worked out for me. I think most people decide it's too much hassle reportiing them to the FOS and this is what FP are hoping for. The point is, this will take about 5 minutes of your time and I can almost guarantee that you were not informed of everything so GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Well done to you. Just make sure it is all that is due to you as quite often goodwill gestures are not the full amount.

yes i agree with max, good will gestures are not worth the paper they are printed on, they are in the wrong and will owe you more than they have offered you

Sorry for the late reply, I will give it a go, but what argument should I use IYO when using the templates?
