Pinknico, can I ask was this credit card ppi which was an online application - if it was you have given me some hope.

I hope it gets sorted quickly for you too.

Hello Chickpee, sorry this was a loan, but I am also waiting on a credit card online complaint. when did you send in your complaint?
This loan complaint was dealt with quite quickly, sent to the FOS in November 2008 Adjudicator June 8th , Decision June 25th.

Our Egg ppi complaint was sent to the FOS in April 2008 - it's been a long wait!

    Thanks for your reply.

Last we heard was in October saying it is still waiting to be allocated. As they are snowed under, we haven't liked to bother them but maybe it is time to email for an update. I'll let you know what they say.

Had a letter today from my FOS adjudicator who has recommended that Egg make me a settlement and pay £200 for inconvenience and distress, on top of returning all PPI payments plus interest plus 8%.
Not celebrating yet as Egg have till early July to agree or not and if they dont agree I will have to wait for an Ombudsman which could take a few more months.

Well done and hope it gets paid soon Pinknico.x

I took out a Personal Loan for £13,000 from bank Of Scotland in 2003.
They added £3,453.43 for Payment Protectection Insurance.
I wrote to BOS in December 2008 asking for a refund of the PPI using one of the templates available on Martins' website.
After some "to-ing and fro-ing" of letters I finally received a cheque for just over £4,500 last week.
My advice is don't give up - persevere!
    Thank you Martin!
