Sent in a complaint to Barclaycard back in February that was a blatent PPI misselling claim. They have sent letter after letter since asking me to hold on.

Spoke to a guy at Barclays last week and they said they are currently dealing with complaints sent in last November!!

The FOS arent any better. I sent a complaint in to them about Barclays and they told me they are so bsuy my case won't be heard for nearly 4 months!!!

I am starting to lose faith and patience here. Am tempted to take them to court but nervous about doing so on PPI

    Help??
Total Reclaimed from banks and credit cards so far: £14139 :T
    Amount outstanding £550

    Hi there

    Sorry to hear this.

Unfortunately because there are so many of these complaints they are taking longer to deal with.

I also note you have stated about a case with Barclays, but realistically they still have 8 weeks as a normal timescale to respond, you can then go to the FOS if you want to, if they don't deal with your complaint by then, but as you know the FOS are also taking a while as well.

Good luck with this and hope both complaints are resolved soon.

If you do decide to go to small claims, I don't know a lot about how they deal with this, but some information here:
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/ManagingDebt/CourtClaimsAndBankruptcy/DG_10023133

I think but not certain this is for claims up to £5K.;)

    Barclaycard success,
Morning everyone, well after almost 4 months of asking Barclaycard for a PPI refund, they finally sent me a letter yesterday stating they were repaying me £71.50, not a lot I know but it's money off my CC bill! Unusually, they asked if I wanted it paying into my bank or off my credit card. I also got to the stage where they sent me a questionnaire asking for all the detaails they already had (which I refused to fill in). Keep fighting folks, you'll get it back eventually. Once again, thanks to Di, Amersall, Pinknicko and everyone else who help people on here

Had a letter today from my FOS adjudicator who has recommended that Egg make me a settlement and pay £200 for inconvenience and distress, on top of returning all PPI payments plus interest plus 8%.
Not celebrating yet as Egg have till early July to agree or not and if they dont agree I will have to wait for an Ombudsman which could take a few more months.
