I have had a letter today from tescos in reply to a complaint for misold ppi They have said because I got the Loan on Line that I do not have a case but I can go to the fos if I do not agree does anyone think is worth it with us getting it on Line . I claimed on the basis that My Husband has had a pre exsisting medical condition. Would value any help ;)

    Hi Mollymoo96

Sorry to hear this. They do tend to fob these types off, but not to worry the FOS are used to resolving these actual complaints, so go to then and enclose the copy of the letter with the complaints form.

You can either download a form from their site, or give them a ring to arrange for them to send one through the post, good luck.;)

Bummer just saw this thread, I took out a loan about 7 years ago and had PPI, I found out 5 years ago I have a life threatening heart condition (that is pre-existing but never knew about) I tried to reclaim on the PPI and they wouldn't let me, they said it was pre-existing so gave me my PPI back. So am now stuck with the debt which I'm paying off minimally each month and its getting bigger. So unfair as I am entitled to claim, but I had the PPI money back. REally really wish I hadn't taken the money now. Was about 4-5 years ago I had the money back. Crap!

You got your money back, which is the whole point of reclaiming. I don't understand why you are upset about this?

    Hi There

Have you thought about still taking this to the Ombudsman. They have acted unfairly. They cannot just wriggle out at the last moment. This is causing you debt. May I suggest you give FOS a ring and ask their opinion on this. Good luck and let us kow how you get on.

Because the amount of the loan is bigger than the PPI, I shouldn't of accepted the PPI at the time, but basically had no choice I was told. If I'd have fought it and taken it to court I'm sure a court would see that even though I had a pre-existing heart condition, I didn't know about it so therefore the PPI stands and I could make a claim. So now I would be debt free. Hope that makes sense!!!

They declined your insurance claim and gave you back the money because you could never claim on it. That is a lot more than most insurers do, most of them just make you keep paying for something you can't use.

Yes I know that, but still its wrong isn't it? I mean I have a condition that I was born with, but never knew about and I'm being prejudiced for that, so surely that is something to complain about. I don't mind paying the PPI back for the sake of writing the loan off though.....
