PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

He has also had a refund of nearly £2000 from EGG for PPI. EGG paid after the first letter and Barclaycard paid out after the 2nd letter. He is still trying to claim PPI from Lloyds who seem to be digging their heels in but we are still trying hard. For us this is great news as the money has paid off the credit cards and there has been some money left for us.

I am now doing the same with my Credit cards and I have had a loans with Barclays on and off since 1995 and my loan is just about to finish. I am hoping that I have the same success as hubby.

Fab site Martin and for all those who are still waiting for responses, please do not give up.

Lloyds are not the easiest but keep at them.;)

I think Lloyds have done me well over this time ( I have a thread about this lol).

The only other experience I have had with Lloyds was reclaiming bank charges.

I claimed back my hubbys bank charges at the same time- for different banks but his all caved in and paid out after the first letter.

I had to file my claim in court with Lloyds but needless to say, they paid out before the court date.

I feel they may do the same/similar with PPI's. Hang in there........I'm gonna xx

Just thought I would let everyone to stick at it in re claiming PPI!!!! I received a letter from Welcome Finance this morning which advised I was entitled to my full claim of £2268!!!!

Please keep claiming..............it is worth ALL THE HASSLE IN THE END!!!!!

how long did u wait 4 this ???i have had 5 loans with welcome (top-ups each gettin new PPI :mad:)
ive been trying to get this bk since Sept 2008 ,not getting much response (if any) any ideas where am going wrong??HELP!!!! x

i took a car loan out with braidwood motors 5 yrs ago ,they use British Credit Trust for the customers finance ,i tried claiming mis-sold PPI directly from BCT but was told that Braidwood motors are liable for the mis-selling??!!!!!I contacted the FLA (as at the time they were not regulated by FOS) and they said the same ,that Braidwood motors are liable!!!Ive sent 2 letters now and still NO RESPONSE !! Can anyone help with this scenario???!!

Good luck with this. My ocean finance complaint been with fos for just about a year. Hasnt even been passed to adjudicator yet.....

Hi everyone i got a letter from A&L today saying they would like to offer me £958.53.
This was after just 1 letter and i did'nt have to go as far as the Financial Ombudsman.
I would like to thank di3004:A and also petermb who helped me :T:T:T:T.
