    Like EllBee I have been waiting 1 year with FOS recieved letter from Adjudicator to say he up-held my claim on the 24th April and he gave loans.co.uk till 14th May to reply... they didn't I am now waiting for the case to be passed to Ombudsman for final decission the adjudicator said this would take 2-4weeks. I emailed the Adjudicator on the 2nd June to ask for update and he still has not replied. Like EllBee I am truely fed up and want to complain about how long the FOS are taking. I am happy for all of you that have won and recieved your money back... can any of you that went through FOS tell me how long it takes from this stage please... And do I email again (because they didn't reply to last one) and risk getting on there nerves or should I leave it?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Hi Jadest, its a very long time isn't it??
    Loans.co.uk has a lot to do with this I bet.......:mad:

    I would ring the FOS and not email just to find out what is going on if you hear nothing by the end of the week or earlier if you feel like doing this, good luck and hope you hear very soon with some good news.;)

  • I today received a cheque for £695 from Egg for PPI on a loan I had about 6 years ago.
    I'd just like to say thanks so mush-all I had done was sent the letter from your website and paid for a stamp.
    I've told all of my friends it's about time we got some of our hard earned money back from the banks!:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Well done katie!!! I received a letter form Lloyds todaythey are going to pay back just under £1k in PPI for loans I took out in Y2k!! The only thing is the letter states 'I understand the sums will be refunded into my current account.' Now - which current account? It asks for your account number and sort code and account name but I take it that I can provide any current account bank account as they have not been specific in saying ' the Lloyds current account. Can anyone give any advice?

    Hi there

    I assumed this would mean your bank account, maybe a if you have a few banks then any you prefer for it to be paid in, however as I am not too certain on this you could contact their insurance dept and ask them to confirm this for you.;)
    Well done to you anyway.:T:beer::T

  • i claimed ppi insurance back from welcome finance from 3 years ago on behalf of my partner. we got back just under £2000! we claimed it was missold as they implied he wouldnt get the loan without it.

    we sent the standard letter and they said no! sent the 2nd letter, they said no again! sent a 3rd telling them we were going to financial ombudsman, sent a letter to the ombudsman and a week later we recieved a letter from welcome finance, refunding ALL payments inc interest. loan has now been paid off and a cheque for over £800!
    we very nearly gave up and didnt bother sending letter to ombudsman, i am so glad i did (not sure if they knew i had wrote to ombudsman or it was just coincidence that they paid out)
    Moral of the story... Dont give up!
