hi di, not sure love, i cant get on fp website at moment, this was posted on mse, i am just passing it on, think it is though as angus has signed it
  • 1 letter, 1 stamp, 8 weeks and four days = 1 cheque plus interest totalling £1,788 held in my hand.

I didn't even have to go to the Ombudsman. This is a result! Do it people! Reclaim!!

In 2003 I took out a £5000 loan with EGG which was sold to me concentrating on the complete figure i could afford to pay back per month (£100) and this, i later found out, thanks to this website, included the PPI. I wrote to EGG using the template from this site, adjusting it to my experiences, and that was it.

Many thanks to the advice off this site! :T

    Aligerdie,

How long did the whole process take? Did you involve the FOS?
I'm about to reclaim my PPI charges on a credit card, from Cap One.
    Many thanks in advance.

Been offered a refund of PPI by Capital One on my credit card.

It has an outstanding balance which has been sold onto a debt collection agency.

Capital One offered me a good will gesture (which is close to what I should have got anyway), but was to be taken off the balance owed to the dca.

I wanted a cheque so I could do it myself (how very trusting!), so I wrote to Cap1 stating that seeing as the debt had been sold on, they should be refunding the premiums to me directly as the addition of unnecessary premiums to my monthly balance had contributed to my debt.

Received a letter a few days ago asking me to sign the settlement form, and a personal cheque would be on the way.
It pays to kick up a fuss!

Also Aligerdie, did you sign the settlement form from Cap One, stating you accept the settlement, ' without prejudice?'.

    Many thanks.

    Hi EllBee

    How are you?:A

Despite all this going on waiting for an outcome on your case with the FOS of course.

    Its a very long time.

Do you have the name of the one who is dealing with your case yet?

Or I take it you are still waiting for this to be moved on, for them to tell you its forever to be on top of the pile......

Like EllBee I have been waiting 1 year with FOS recieved letter from Adjudicator to say he up-held my claim on the 24th April and he gave loans.co.uk till 14th May to reply... they didn't I am now waiting for the case to be passed to Ombudsman for final decission the adjudicator said this would take 2-4weeks. I emailed the Adjudicator on the 2nd June to ask for update and he still has not replied. Like EllBee I am truely fed up and want to complain about how long the FOS are taking. I am happy for all of you that have won and recieved your money back... can any of you that went through FOS tell me how long it takes from this stage please... And do I email again (because they didn't reply to last one) and risk getting on there nerves or should I leave it?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
I have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.
I have claim for bank charges on-hold for 3year

    Good-luck all
