    Hi all

I heard from my adjudicator that they have agreed with my complaint and that barclays should put me in the position i was before i took out the PPI as well as £200 for stress caused. However, Barclays have left it until the last minute and rejected these findings. It now has to go to an Ombudsman which i'm told could take another couple of weeks.

I'm told this has been quite normal for Barclays but now i'm worried that the complaint will go in their favour. Has anyone heard of any cases where the adjudicator hasn't been agreed with?

    Thanks

    Dawn

    Hi Dawn
Dont worry too much, the exact same thing happened to me also with Barclays .The Ombudsman still found in my favour and Barclays now have 28 days to pay up.Seems to be delay after delay with them doesnt it.Dont know why when they cant win in the end .

Thanks KT. Seems like Barclays are being awkward in general then rather than it being anything to do with my claim!
Congrats on your win and hopefully you receive those pounds soon :-)

    Confused!!!

Ok I have been lucky enough claiming £1100 in march from loan claim from HSBC. Last week got a letter saying going to pay out on my second loan £1163! It got paid in to the bank yesterday, received a letter today saying theyre aranging for the monies to be paid in my bank over next couple of days. Checked my balance this morning then found out they again paid me £1163 again later on this afternoon!!

What should I do!? I think I read a while ago on this web site that some one had the same thing but cant find it!

Very confused but kinda happy too!

Hi there and WOW......., funny enough this happened to someone else who posted on here a few weeks ago, not sure if they posted back since, but they were paid out the same money twice.

If you feel uneasy on this request for a full breakdown on calculations, this may show how this was all worked out.

Despite that, Well done on your reclaim.:T:beer::T

I have been helping a friend with reclaiming PPI from Lloyds Tsb. We sent the initial letter and they sent back what appeared to be a standard "no" letter.

We sent a stronger letter saying he was not happy with the response and for them to reconsider their decision.................... and they did.

Two days ago he received a letter saying they had looked into the matter. Having referred it to the Ombudsman themselves they came to the conclusion that his complaint/claim was valid and they would refund him his premiums in full PLUS the 8% interest. He is now waiting for it to be credited to his account.

The refund is for £2088. They didnt give a figure for the interest as this will be calculated to the day of refund. Not sure how it is calculated so wont know final figure until it is actually refunded.

Thanks to all who contributed to encouragement - anyone else contemplating a claim - GO FOR IT - you have nothing to lose.

  • About a year ago I contacted a company Financial Claims Made Simple regarding ppi claims on two mbna cards. The main reason for reclaming was I am diabetic and therefore I cant make a claim. They took on the case but nearly a year later i have had no resolution to this matter. Can anybody tell me how long this is likely to take. You would think that with them taking 20% it would be in thier best interests to resolve it.

    Hi there

Do you mind if I ask you if your paying this company who are dealing with this for you?

I would contact them and keep on at them, I think I may have heard of them but if they are not charging you for this, maybe its worth you getting help from this site which is all free with templates.

They should keep in contact with you, when was the last time you actually heard from this company?

  • I have a secured Barclay loan (worst mistake of my life). I used the advice on the web site and was offered £4500 back which is only a small proportion of the PPI. Next I went to the Financial Ombudsman who informed my that DUE TO ME SERVING IN THE MILITARY I did have a case and 1 year later we have a £21000 compensation package which includes the PPI paid off, return of interest, return of payments made + extras. WINNER!
