    What were you reclaiming: Loan
    Who was the provider: Egg
    How much did you get back: Just under £3500 with interest added
    Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Just used the first letter as per Martins template then recieved a letter 4 weeks later saying that they were refunding us and the amount we were owed was going to be taken off the loan amount we owed them!
    And then write your brief reclaim tale
    Also at min just wrote to Bank Of Scotland over a car loan PPI and awaiting reply, thanks for all your help Martin, couldnt of done it without you and it couldnt have come at a better time

    Congratulations Sarahlou :beer::T:beer:
    Wow so quick as well :T

    Good luck with Bank of Scotland also.;)

    Congratulations Sian well done !:beer::T:beer:

    Now the FOS give them normally a fortnight to agree to this and they should then let you know.
    Is this the first adjudicator, or was this moved on from the adjudicator to the ombudsman himself?

    When you sign and accept, I would give them a month to pay out, if you not received anything by that month let them FOS know and they will arrange to chase them up for you.;)

    Great news this.:T

    thanks you!! i think this was the first adjudicator it took us until last week to get an adjudicator then within a week we had a decision and first plus's response! i have worked out the interest as per FOS reccomendations and we should come out with £5600!! and a reduction in payment of £106 per month!!

  • Following MSE templates, I wrote one letter to Abbey - chancing my arm really and promptly received an offer of £1836!

    Not so much luck with Nat West though. Followed the same format, but received a letter stating it would not uphold my claim, but is prepared to offer £75.71 as a gesture of goodwill.

    Also not much luck with Egg who hasn't made any kind of decision despite acknowledging my complaint for over 6 weeks now

    The problem I have is being offered an account re-credit as a 'matter of company policy' rather than a cheque (which is my preference)

    Still so far, so good and nearly £2k reclaimed (which has gone straight into the bankruptcy pot! Arghh!)

    Recently received £2500 from egg for mis sold PPi. I wrote to request refund on two past loans and they paid out on three loans, including a previous one i'd forgotten about and hadn't asked for! It took them about 11 weeks in total, but the delay was apparently due to them looking for info on the oldest loan so can't really complain.

    So pleased and determined to get justice on my Barclays Firstplus loan PPi and now helping my sis to go after PPi on her Natwest loan....
