I wrote to request refund on two past loans and they paid out on three loans, including a previous one i'd forgotten about and hadn't asked for! It took them about 11 weeks in total, but the delay was apparently due to them looking for info on the oldest loan so can't really complain.
So pleased and determined to get justice on my Barclays Firstplus loan PPi and now helping my sis to go after PPi on her Natwest loan....
Hi there Welshdresser
WOW, Congratulations, this is fantastic !:T:beer:

Hi EllBee
How are you?:A
Despite all this going on waiting for an outcome on your case with the FOS of course.
Its a very long time.
Do you have the name of the one who is dealing with your case yet?
Or I take it you are still waiting for this to be moved on, for them to tell you its forever to be on top of the pile......
Hi Di,
I'm really well thanks, as are the family. Baby's thriving - 4 months old tomorrow and just in her newborn clothes!! :A
My case was passed from the adjudicator, who I've spoken to on about 3 occasions, to the Ombudsman back in June/July last year. The adjudicator found in my favour but obviously Loans.co.uk didn't agree so it was passed to the Ombudsman for a final decision. Apparently my file is near the top of the Ombudsman's pile!!!! I have visions of a huge pile of files and mines so near the top he/she can't reach it so is taking files from the bottom!!! I'm hoping it'll be dealt with this side of next Christmas! Very frustrating!
Hows you and yours? X0 -

Hi Ellbee
Not too bad here thanks.:A
Awe bless your grand-daughter, she is doing well love her.:A
Its a very long time considering its already been with the first adjudicator, you would think this would have been passed on by now to the ombudsman and even looked at by now.... I wish you luck Ellbee, I would also ask for compensation for the distress of waiting.;)XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
What were you reclaiming: Payment Protection Insurance
Who was the provider: First Plus
How much did you get back: a little over £12,000 plus interest....... came to just over £14000 in total
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: I sent a letter based on a template from this site and added the circumstances that applied to me. I didn't hear anything but when I rang it was because they had sent the letter to my old address. That letter said they were looking into the matter and would reply within a month. I didn't hear anything and when I rang them again they had sent that letter to my old address AGAIN. I asked what was in the letter and the lady said she was upholding my claim. The offer letter came and I received the cheque today.0 -

Not so much luck with Nat West though. Followed the same format, but received a letter stating it would not uphold my claim, but is prepared to offer £75.71 as a gesture of goodwill.
Also not much luck with Egg who hasn't made any kind of decision despite acknowledging my complaint for over 6 weeks now
The problem I have is being offered an account re-credit as a 'matter of company policy' rather than a cheque (which is my preference)
Still so far, so good and nearly £2k reclaimed (which has gone straight into the bankruptcy pot! Arghh!)0 -
