I wasn't asked if I wanted it and certainly wouldn't have five accounts and one with.
I have fab sick scheme through work never needed ppi.

Be aware they will have your signature to say you signed for this as no one adds PPI without your knowledge, whether through a phone call or in writing.
Mortgage PPI is different to loan or credit card PPI, but it sounds like you remortgaged several times?

Your familys money has no bearing on your PPI because it's their money, not yours.

Did an actual ombudsman uphold your case or did an adjudicator?
If the latter, the company may have asked for it to be referred to an ombudsman who has rejected your complaint.

I successfully claimed back around £8,000 PPI from Tesco bank a few years ago. I initially wrote Tesco a letter and they rejected the complaint, only for it to be upheld by the Ombudsman. The money really helped us out at the time and I was so grateful to MSE and the posters on this site for their advice at the time.

I've since found out that I had PPI on another policy with another financial institution and want to submit a claim to them as well.

My question is, do I simply write them a letter, telling them why I think I was mis-sold, along with a copy of the paperwork, or do I need to fill out the PPI Consumer Questionnaire form which Martin links to in his current article? It seems very indepth and I must admit I can't recall all the answers, like what the loan was for at the time, only that I'm sure we didn't discuss whether I needed PPI at the time or consider the provisions in place at work to cover any time off sick.

    Grateful for your help.

    Many thanks. :T

You can fill the form and send with copies of any paperwork you may have.
If you do not know any answers to the questions, put that you don't know.

What Financial Institution is it, was it a loan or a Credit Card and what year did you take this out?.

Many thanks Amersall. It was Northern Rock for a loan. I understand that I need to send it to Northern Rock Asset Management rather than Virgin Money. I've found the original credit agreement, which has all the relevant information on, so will send a copy with the form. It's an old one (2000), but for the price of a stamp it's worth seeing if I can reclaim the money.

Just had a call from Lloyds re my complaint for my CC.

The year I thought I took my CC doesn't match their data or their credit agreement which I had signed... I thought it was opened in 1996 and they said 1999.

Because of the different year my circumstances were different so I have just advised that I had sickness and a redundancy package back then. I was actually made redundant the year after and I paid off a separate loan using my redundancy (I have put a complaint in about that loan too as I had PPI on that which I definitely didn't need due to my employer benefits). I also had had health issues (bad back) so gave them that detail too - not sure if having a bad back is an underlying health condition.

The call threw me because I had put the wrong year on my complaint form so had to rely on a loan complaint form for the same year but it's only when I got off the phone that I remembered another health problem that may have made me unable to claim off it. Ah well it's out of my hands now til I get the response.

I feel like I've been in front of a judge eeek!

I will receive the outcome in two weeks. I'm not holding out much hope! I'll report back when I get my response.

I would suggest you call them back asap and tell them that.
