And no...the amount was not owed to a debt company! It is owed to me...I would not be complaining about this otherwise!
Oh that makes it more clearer and I have to agree Nat West customer services are dire.
Hope you have an answer soon.

    Hi all

I had a complaint rejected by MBNA and went to the FOS. Got a surprisingly quick response from FOS upholding my complaint. They said that MBNA could take up to 8 weeks to get back to me, and to be patient. We are now at 7 weeks and I have had not one peep from them. Would it be worth calling them ? Will their letter, when it arrives, include the cheque (no idea how much I'll be getting) ? Thing is, I really need the money now so I'm tempted to chase them ...

And, does it "really" have to take them a further eight weeks ?!?!?!

    Thank you all
Sorry to tell you this but they can take a further 8 weeks and then some, it stinks I know but just hang on and see what they say.
They should send a letter with the redress amount and if the Card (I assume it is a card?) is still live they will credit the redress to the card and then take it back and issue a cheque to you, if the card is not live they should then send you a cheque, they may put a cheque in with the letter or send it separately.

Do they know you have lost your job? if they do then they would not chance you leaving a Credit card debt and not pay it.
What is the actual wording on the letter that you received?.

Thanks for the reply - I may just give them an equiring call tomorrow to see what they say :) Card not live, no - was a while ago and all paid off.

    You are welcome.
You need to find out what the reason is as to why they are paying this to the card, then you will know if it is possible you can get it paid to you or not.

If the SAR came back with nothing, your complaint is over.
