Many thanks for your info' on claiming back my mis sold PPI, I used the template letter provided, received a letter today from Capital One offering me a payment plus interest, + an addition as my account would have been in credit had it not been for the PPI, minus 20% tax on interest, which I'm more than happy with and I get all the money myself, No middleman.0

In addition to my RBS refund of 2,469 I got a letter today from HBOS relating to a Sainsbury's Bank loan offering 1,674.
Very pleasing for what was, at most, the cost of a first class stamp. I knew nothing - absolutely nothing - about the loan other than I had ppi which they wouldn't pay out because I was already covered by an employer's sick pay scheme. The money coming to me now is so valuable, I can't begin to say what it means on a month to month basis. No more student loan repayment of around 200 a month and a big whack taken off the credit card. I may even start to break even each month with such reduced outgoings.
You can do this all yourself... just find the knowledge on here and make your case known...0 -
Hi all, looking for some help please.
I have had some store cards Dorothy Perkins / new look / top shop / bhs and a Mark 1 card now closed and a Debenhams card paid off who all had PPI/ card cover on them.
All sold in store as a store promotion by unqualified staff who ticked the boxes.
the Debenhams card was converted to a master card and is now with Santander and they took ppi payments themselves.
Who do I claim the Ppi from is it Santander /GE money or someone else and do I stand a chance with any of them?0 -
Hi I put in a claim to sainsburys bank for a credit card and i had a card from 1997 and ppi on it till April 2013 and I got over £7000 back so go ahead and put in a claim.
I found it easy to do this one, I spoke to a nice man in July who put me through to the PPI complaints section who took some information from me. Next I received a letter and a couple of weeks later mid August on a Friday I had a call from a lady who questioned me about how I took it out, where and when etc, she was very nice and when I could not remember bits that was fine. She says she would make her decision by Monday and about a week later I got a letter saying I had over £7,000 coming to me and got the cheque the following week. I have now closed this credit card and paid it off in full.0 -
My final claims processed ny M&S for 2 accounts . £9500 heading back my way.
In addition an extra £1000 , turned up 6 months after accepting a final offer as Monument seem to have worked my figures out wrong..nice.
So altogether . 6 successful claims for accounts , 1 rejection (Santander for a a previous GE cap card)
Altogether £32'000. I now owe the tax man £3500 from the interest for 2013/4 which is going into an ISA until self assessment time next year. Money spent on clearing debt .. And now it's boosting the economy getting some much needed jobs done , new boiler, fencing , etc. it's been a life changing 6 months.
If you are in doubt about doing this . Don't be ...apply for your records via a SAR , Fill in the forms if you think you have a valid reason it's worth a try
Main claim reason was not needed as covered by adequate employment benefits , and some had been ticked on my behalf as being compulsory.
Quickest payout was MBNA claim to cheque 3 weeks.
Slowest was CITIBANK/OPUS, took 4 months of passing between the two
Worst to deal with BARCLAYCARD.... Ended up e mailing CEO to get things moving.0 -
Have today received a cheque for £3421.26 back from Barclaycard Mastercard for a friend. The only details I had was D.O.B, address and company name no account numbers.I used the template letter and sent it off. It was an old account but I did not have to send a SAR off, I think it may help if you are still a customer of the company you are claiming from with them holding your details from old accounts. My friend is happy as thats is now £5,500 I have got them back in total.0

Congratulations on your success. I have 2 claims with Barclaycard. One which was sent to the FO and I am awaiting their calculation (been informed it can take up to 12 weeks nrly at that point now!) This is in relation to a very old Morgan Stanley card. The other is for a Goldfish card which is awaiting a decision and is almost a year with them now. Please can you let me know CEO email address? have nothing to lose with dropping him a line Many ThanksDebt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:

Hi
I am new to the boards but wanted to share my success not to rub it in anyone's faces but to show that there is always hope.
I have been a Lloyds customer for over 15 years, I had a loan in 2003 which was refinanced in 2006 and now is in arrears only £1500 left and an overdraft of £1800. I submitted a PPI claim in July, received the paperwork that there seemed to be PPI against one of my loans so i filled in the paperwork, sent it back end of July and then rang them every week.
I rang them last Tuesday to be told I had been made an offer of £4,260 and would I like to accept. Of course I was speechless given the original loan was for £10,000!!! I of course accepted there and then. I received a call on the Wednesday from another part of Lloyds saying the refund should go against my arrears and overdraft which are on repayment plans. I said I have other priority debts such as payday loans and catalogues with much higher interest rates which I would want to pay first. He was like OK completely agree you should see the money within 28 days.
Imagine my shock yesterday when I logged on and saw £4,260 sitting in my account. I was speechless and needless to say spent most of the morning reducing my balances across the other debtors and boy did it feel great and I am so happy that Lloyds didnt take the money for their debts first.
So in short it really does pay off from start to finish the claim to payment took 9 weeks and when they do call if you have other priority debts with higher interest rates tell them and they may do the same as they did with me. :j:j:j0
