  • Despite reading how easy it was, I was sure it was going to be more difficult as I had no paperwork. One phone call to RBS and a few easy questions and they told me I had three loans with PPI. They immediately confirmed with a text and within two weeks have received cheques for £680. Yesterday received confirmation that third cheque coming for £3600. Hope Marks and Spencer are as quick with the two complaints lodged with them . Thank you Martin

You have the right to complain it was mis-sold and if the Bank agrees they will refund it.

    Good luck:)
  • PPI refund £3030.37 on PPI with interest of about £1600

Provider HSBC via a Loan taken in 1999 - obviously they had no documents but turns out that I did. :p

PPI never explained as optional and not in employment at point of loan - I was sooo naive back then!!

Call, letter (including loan agreement and some statements), call, call, offer, call, revised offer, acceptance!

    Happy days :)

  • I have got an on going claim for the mis-selling of PPi against Lloyds TSB, initially it was rejected by Lloyds so i got in contact with the Ombudsman who have been fighting my claim for me. I had a response from the Ombudsman about 3 months ago saving that they agree with me and are going to uphold my claim and that they have contacted Lloyds asking them to respond within 4 weeks, that time has long gone by so i decided to call the Ombudsman myself for an update on my claim.

Now this is the alarming news that was relayed back to myself, basically all claims against Lloyds TSB are on hold while they are in discussions with the Ombudsman about the amount of claims that they are receiving. They can't give me a timescale on when theses discussions are going to over so now I'm left in limbo again.

Firstly, has anybody heard of this happening to anybody else and secondly, is this legal what Lloyds are doing or are they just delaying the repayments of mis -sold PPi??

Any news on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, how long did it take with the Ombudsman? They have been dealing with my case for nearly a year and I have only had 2 letters from them stating they are still investigating!
