What ever the offer is, you will receive all of this, if your account is still running and you have arrears or a DMP then they take back what you owe them off the offer, if you have none of the above, you get it all :j.

Thanks Amersall. The amount offered is :j:26,000 so well pleased. No debt to pay. This has only took four months with fos.

Hi..have had offers from my 2 outstanding complaints that both went to the FOS about 20months ago. MBNA credit card £4450 and Barclaycard £ 7755. Thanks to all on here for all the info and help.

My total refunds over the past 2 years are approx £50k

Stay positive..claim if you think you have a case. DO NOT use a claims company . Do it yourself.

    Good luck
Hi I am waiting for a response from FOS regarding MBNA complaint. Have had no joy with MBNA themselves they said I didn't have a claim as I didn't have an account !!! FOS been dealing with complaint for 8 months fingers crossed

As this is not a valid mis-selling complaint, the Bank certainly haven't paid out because of that reason!:) They must have found other faults during the course of their investigation.

Can I ask, did he get rejected in writing? if not then send a DSAR to MBNA

Hi they sent him a letter and a copy of the application form that has a ticked box stating correctly he was employed as a manager of a shop at the time we felt it was missold as it appeared compulsory and the fact he ticked the box sows hat not to be the case also they say we were sent documentation informing us we cold cancel the insurance in 30 days. So I think they might be right in this circumstance what do you think?

It certainly seems a weak complaint to begin with. There is nothing to be gained by sending for a SAR as someone else suggested. You'd get nothing back you haven't received already.
Remember that you do still have the option to refer to FOS if you want...l

Thanks for the advice I have to admit we never really knew when we took the insurance out as we went self employed 6 months later!

Could I just ask do you think it's worth researching an old nationwide loan? From about 97 we have no details?

It's a long time ago, there may no longer be records. Worth a £10 SAR perhaps, but don't bank on any money in return.

What were you claiming; Credit Card PPI
Who were you claiming from; MBNA
    Offer made with no dispute

Took out credit card in 1997. PPI was added in 2002, which I cancelled in 2012. No reason for adding PPI to the card has been given. Offered £2500, 25 days after complaint was received by MBNA.

Thank you MSE. Third success, two paid without argument. Waiting for offer from Lloyds re PPI on loan, after they backed down once complaint forwarded to FOS. Just waiting for response from Tesco CC.
