your guess is as good as mine, its with the FOS who are looking into this "new" information from barclaycard.
how one minute they cant even work out if its even my paperwork from what "proof" barclaycard have sent them,to now being able to send "new" information that you can zooooooooooom in so the letters are as big as
this just smells of dirty tricks to me. whatever happens will keep you updated. keep fighting, and good luck.

Thank you, I think I'm at the end of the Road though, FOS want new evidence, how can I provide new evidence? Barclays tricked me to signing the Barclaycard application, and FOS will not uphold the complaint, as they have got a signed form. Game over really.

Good Luck with yours though, keep me posted!

You'd need to be able to prove they "tricked" you into signing. You signed to say you agreed to the finance with PPI included, how was "trickery" involved?

    I'm afraid so.

I was told by a cashier, "to sign for my card". At no point did I know that this was a credit card application. All the information, was accessed from my Barclays account, without concent or knowledge. Never even had a copy, or terms and conditions.

Yes, I read back in your posting history. Weak "hearsay" allegations about what was said or done (often many years ago) have little chance of success. Your youth and naivety at the time are not evidence of any wrong doing. Remember also that you used the credit card for years afterwards and the PPI was on every monthly statement. The fact that you cancelled it in 2010 (on finding it was optional) does not significantly strengthen your case either as you never queried the payment earlier.

Hi I'm new to this and think im one of the last ppl putting a claim in against picture financial . Just need a bit of advice , we took our picture loan out Jan 2006 , we have received all our no claims bonus back . We split up in 2009 and are both still on the loan and only separated and not divorced , will this affect our claim ? The loan is still running and i pay all the payments on it . Should us being separated affect our claim . Any advice gladly received ..thanks .

For further info - having had your no claims bonus does not mean you cannot claim, your claim will stand or fall based on what you have said and what the FSCS/Deloitte find in their investigation. Most seem to win when it comes to Picture, as it seems to have been really poorly sold, and a poor product.

As a really really rough, back of a fag packet guide, if you win then in your position you can expect to get round about the full amount of your PPI back - because the 50% you have received back in 'no claims bonus' will approximately have been offset by the 6/7 years of 8 to 10% interest you have been paying on the PPI that you should not have been sold.

The Picture Loans/FSCS thread is stickied just below this one, it is alive, barely, and there are one or two of us waiting on claims including myself, so do feel free to pop in there.

If you really have time on your hands you can read the whole 490-odd pages:rotfl: as I did. In amongst all the congratulations to winning claimers (which must have been lovely at the time but makes for a bit boring reading now) there are plenty of interesting snippets and opinions.
  • I have used a third party to try and claim my PPI back. I signed all my paperwork back in December and am still yet to hear anything back from the solicitors company I used. I have tried phoning, leaving voice messages as well as emailing the company and I have been ignored. Has anyone else had this problem? The solicitors I am trying to contact are Allison and Reilly based in Liverpool, are they a legitimate business and how long do I have to wait before I can try to claim myself as I am now, 5 months later, sick of waiting fit an answer?

On a positive note, your other PPI complaint was a success despite your poor payment history.

I haven't had another ppi complaint, nor have I ever had poor payment history. Do not have a clue what you are talking about! I have only ever mentioned Barclaycard, this one incident.

Cancel your contract with them before you do anything.
Might be worth going to see if they're still where they're supposed to be.

Sorry, speed reading through your history I got you mixed up with another user.
The main thrust of my post remains the same, I'm afraid. Your complaint is at an end for the reasons I outlined.
