Just wondering if you got a address for universal credit as I need the same

    Sorry I don't know.
I was hoping someone else on the forum may know to help the poster who asked the question before.
  • I had thought about looking to see if I had any loans with PPI, but never got round to it, then I received a letter from MBNA saying PPI was going up. I hadn't even realised I had it on that credit card which I had had for almost 20 years.
I filled in the template and eventually got round to sending it off to MBNA. Today I had a letter saying my complaint is being upheld and I'm getting £2013.54! I've just been made redundant, so this is really useful.
Now I'm going to check all the other products I've had to see if I can repeat this success.
Thanks Martin - it was really easy!

.RBS have just declined my PPI claim and I wondered has anyone gone to the Ombudsman about them and if you have what was the outcome. How hard or easy is it to go to the Ombudsman. Any help would be much appreciated.

You will have received the Ombudsman leaflet with your rejection letter.

Yes I did get an address for Universal Credit. They were taken over by Paragon Personal Finance, address as below:

    Paragon Personal Finance Ltd
    St Catherine's Court
    Herbert Road
    Solihull
    West Midlands B91 3QE

Universal Credit were the biggest sharks out there around that time, and Paragon seem to have taken over where Universal Credit left off. They tried every dodge in the book in order to not uphold my complaint, even claiming PPI was not sold to me when I had actually sent the loan agreement AND statements showing PPI!! They soon retracted that claim, blaming an 'oversight' on their part and said they would 'speak to the manager of the department responsible for the oversight'.

However, in the end, they did not uphold my claim so this one is currently with the Ombudsman and this is the one I want upheld the most, as some of their practices and charges were shameful.

I wish you good luck - you may need it - and please do update me if and when you are successful. :)
  • Hi I'm new to this and think im one of the last ppl putting a claim in against picture financial . Just need a bit of advice , we took our picture loan out Jan 2006 , we have received all our no claims bonus back . We split up in 2009 and are both still on the loan and only separated and not divorced , will this affect our claim ? The loan is still running and i pay all the payments on it . Should us being separated affect our claim . Any advice gladly received ..thanks .
