There has always been a balance on the card.

Look at a statement, it will have a payment of PPI on there. Calculate roughly from that.
Card PPI is dependent on your balance, not a fixed amout each month, so no one knows or can guess how much you are entitled to.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

They have written to me to me telling that I didnt have payment protection on this account and that the claim is now closed.
Looking back in the paperwork that Lloyds sent with me (from SAR letters) the account paperwork I signed has 'asset payment protection' and this shows on the statements as 'cardholder protection plan'.
Is this still classed as PPI? The claim is only about £170 not huge I know - do you think its worth sending the copies of the paperwork to them ( I didnt send it in the first place as it was Lloyds that gave to me so I assumed they wouldnt need me to send it) highlighting card holder proctection payments and asking them to take a second look? Do I send it the ombudsman? or do I file it and stop flogging a dead horse?
I also have other complaints being processed all by Lloyds and I dont want prejudice any further possible refunds.
Thanks in anticipation

You've asked this 4 times now and been answered already.

Good news for my family today! MBNA have investigated my complaint and it is being upheld! My husband didn't tick the box to consent to PPI back in 1992 when he applied for the card and they charged it anyway until 1998 when he cancelled it.
MBNA say they have to work out the position the account would have been in without PPI, so I don't know yet what the refund will be. They have given themselves 12 weeks to send a payment.
I would never have known it was possible to get a copy of the card application, after so many years, without this site. Thank you!PPI on Natwest loan, Barclayloan, MBNA credit card, and Mortgagecare all repaid just for asking in 2012/2013!
Barclaycard - PPI refund refused 26/01/13, ombudsman upheld 12 May 2014, Barclays resisted until March 2015 - FOS say Barclays are calculating an offer, they have 8 weeks.0 -
I'm new here and just quickly browsing the forum and this thread in particular there are some very interesting stories indeed. It's not until I read all this did I realise what a scandal the selling of PPI was. In my case I have been in and am in secure employment with good sickness (6 months full and 6 months half pay) and death benefits.
I like most had seen the TV and heard the radio ads about reclaiming mi-sold PPI and just took the view it was an ambulance chasing by these companies. But my view has changed.
In early December I recieved a letter from Tesco Bank saying I might have been mis-sold PPI on a loan I have them taken out in 2006 and I should contact them on their PPI help-line. Which I did do and filled out the compliant questionnaire verbally over the phone, a couple days later I received a letter from Tesco bank confirming my case was being perused. In between this I recieved a letter from Barclaycard saying pretty much the same that was a possibility I had been mis-sold PPI and recommended I fill their on line questionnaire out, which after a couple of false starts because their on line system did not recognise my number, I did. I had reason to contact Tesco bank with some additional information and the chap on the other end filled me what they had done to date and seems they are moving quickly, so fingers crossed.
I have an account with Yorkshire Bank Visa, so I had a look at that and it was clear I was paying PPI (this is not the case with Barclaycard) so I downloaded the form from this site filled it out and sent it in, and now have a claim against them too.
I have been with both Yorkshire Visa and Barclaycard a very long time, back into the late '80s I think. I don't know if this will disadvantage my case or not? But if upheld I'm guessing again there could be significant payout?
I take it I'm right in thinking because both Barclaycard and Tesco Bank wrote to me in the first instance, those will be the stronger of the cases and that I had to write to YBV and given from what I have read on this forum they appear a bit more robust in defence of claims generally that might be tougher?
This forum and site is a fantastic resource and contains some great advice.0 -

Whether the Banks in question wrote to tell you that you might have a complaint is irrelevant to the chances of success.if upheld I'm guessing again there could be significant payout?0 -
