PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Have just gone out of work and have never claimed for any of the insurances i have on my 4 credit cards and 2 loans,i was going to try and cancel them and claim back some of them before i was made redundant,were do i stand i feel like in no mans land now

Hi hun

So sorry to hear you just came out of work.

I would contact them to try and put a claim in and if they say your not eligible then of course reclaim.
They should cover unemployment and its best to have cover, you could in time when you return to work, if you think your cover is expensive, then cancel them and go for a stand alone insurance, you can find some info on the site.

If they pay out hun, I don't think you can reclaim afterwards, but others may have views on this as well.

I am good thanks ,hope you are taking care of yourself. Had to file a complaint with FOS today as HFC have not replied at all in 8 weeks.

Yeah I must be a little more careful on some stuff in regards of health but doing okay, thanks Pinknico. (results were back within 2 days - will tell you more over the weekend in private );)

So you have not heard anything at all from HFC?
I would write to them now as well to make them aware you have moved this on to the FOS. Good luck hun.:A XX

Hi there Nico (this is like stereo) Tee Hee
From what I understand the lenders are now going into go slow and are not sending out info. They are relying that people will give up or go to the ICO and get bottle necked there. This is happening with Solicitors and Claims Companies as well I have been told.

Thanks for that Di and Max ! Maybe if the FSA got a bit tougher and took action against companies and banks who ignore and dismiss complaints things would pick up again. "gets off soap box"
As for the ICO they have released figures that show in February they received 2 complaints against banks (!) whos were those mine and Maxs!!!
Or did these figures not include Companys eg Picture , First Plus?

Cheques from Alliance and Leicester arrived on Friday. Its taken about 4 weeks since the offer acceptance letter was sent back.
