What were you reclaiming: Loan
Who was the provider: Lloyds TSB & Egg
How much did you get back: £8764 + 4200 (wife`s) Lloyds & £1433 Egg
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Letter
Filled out the form on here for both and left loan numbers blank. Egg upheld and paid 2 months later, Lloyds upheld and recieved letter yesterday after just over 16 weeks. Lloyds found PPI on loans back to 1999 and have paid back on them. They have said 28 days for payment but not holding my breath after the 2 month wait from Egg but cant stop smiling. :j:j
2 CC claims gone to FOS for investigation so will wait and see.0 -

When you win a card redress, they recalculate the card to zero balance, any month that you had a credit balance they do not pay the 8% for that month, as they are only paying you back for the statements you have, the 8% will not be great, the nearer you get to the day they pay they out, the 8% is decreased, as the PPI fluctuates on a card month to month this is not as easy as a loan PPI redress.0 -

Posted claim mid September and I estimated I had paid about £1900 in PPI based solely on latest PPI amount * 84 (7 years worth). Letter acknowledged on 17th.
Got a letter on 20th October saying “Unfortunately, we confirm that we are unable to uphold your complaint”, thinking I would have to go to the ombudsman.I carried on reading the letter only to find it then said “Notwithstanding the above, and without prejudice, a decision has been made to refund all remaining PPI premiums.”.
Anyone had something similar happen to them?
In total they will be refunding me just over £3.5k, all I have to do is send of the acceptance letter. :beer:IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Hi please can someone help me?
I am trying to reclaim PPI from Mothercare and have been referred to Financial Ombudsman who have now wrote and asked me to provide them with the underwriter details
Santander have advised they no longer have any data relating to me - actual wording in their letter to me says - all data relating to it has been removed from our records!
The Financial Ombudsman is asking for me to provide underwriting details - which I dont' have and can't provide
Any advice please?
Thank you0 -

Am in the process of claiming back PPI on this Credit Card which was paid off in 2006.
I am new to this and it may be a silly question but on the credit card statements each month they were putting two amounts on the credit card for PPI one for approximately £70 and another for approximately £30 (the amounts differed slightly each month) - Does anybody know why they would put it through as two amounts each month and why would the amounts differ slightly each time?0
