Do not think it is that easy with credit cards / store cards because of the month interest and so on.:D

It is possible to total that list and then apply 8% simple interest.

(By the way, the figures look totally accurate to me!:p)
  • Well, went for a Personal Review at Lloyds TSB a couple of weeks ago and the advisor at the bank TOLD me to claim for PPI!

So letter filed and acknowledged for five loans and a credit card since 2001.

They said 8 weeks for a response.

Fingers crossed! I have read very conflicting reports on Lloyds!

    This site is an inspiration.

It's 8% on each payment from the date it was paid

    What were you reclaiming: Loan
    Who was the provider: Natwest
How much did you get back: £12991.65
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: initial chat in bank followed by a letter

We went to the bank to ask if we could have details of our loan for the purposes of making a complaint about the PPI. The person gave us the address t write to. did this, got account number back with letter asking us to write with our complaints. Wrote the letter, sent it off, had a letter back saying that PPI was now cancelled on the current loan. DH phoned to find out how far along they were with our claim, was told that 7 letters had been sent. Received them today, all with varying amounts being offered, totalling a staggering £12991.65 :) DH has now signed the acceptance forms and has sent them back.

This is just great news for us, so much so I am in tears writing this. We have been struggling for the last four years financially, but now we can pay off the remainder of the loan, clear our credit card and have a bit spare for Christmas. The best part is, after years of being smothered with loan and CC repayments we will now be debt free.

I would encourage everyone to NOT use claim companies, we did this just with the help and advice on here and we are so, so happy now.

A huge thank you to MSE x
